The Time That Is Given Us

Please read the full speech by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, the Austrian housewife fighting bravely against Muslim tyranny and in support of free speech and other freedoms in Europe, as reported by Gates of Vienna.

Sample grafs:

***
...I am doing this for my daughter, and for her children, for those who will have to live in the world we are now preparing for them. I am doing what our grandparents should perhaps have done during the 1930s, when their own freedoms were under threat.

This is our time. This cup will not pass from us.

I am reminded of a passage in J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.

It is an exchange between Frodo the hobbit and Gandalf the wizard, and it concerns the perilous quest on which Frodo and his friends have been sent.

Frodo says: “I wish it need not have happened in my time.”

Gandalf responds: “So do I, and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

It is time for us to decide what to do with the time that is given us...

We Have Arrived

From Eternity Road, a gaze into a crystal ball:

***
...But be of good cheer, looking way ahead, ol' [Uncle] Sam won't meet his end in some operatic vortex, he'll end up in the attic like the crazy uncle he is. He may break a lamp or two on the way, but go he will. Family elders will reminisce of his better days while kindly attendants help him shuffle on up there, step by step, a package of adult diapers under his arm, singing the old songs, chanting the old slogans. Our descendents will wonder why we ever took him seriously.

No, what you should really fear is scarcity. It's how we lived until about 1950. It's unAmerican to say this, but what you have is all you're likely to have and chances are you won't keep all of that. So, are you planning a mountain retreat, with a well and a hand pump, more than a tank of gas from any urban center, away from lines of drift, solar powered hot tub, blah blah? If you're not there now, or nearly so, you're not going to get there. In other words, time's up. Get your affairs in order where you are because where you are is where you're going to be. And what you have is what you're going to have.

Societies are normally this badly wounded when exiting hard times, not entering them. Which means we're in no condition for what's coming, and what's coming is something not seen since feudal times. Everything's on the table including society itself. We've run out of good outcomes. There isn't even a name for it. The Great Bottleneck, maybe. Let's hope not the Cenozoic Extinction. So far we've merely seen the water trickling between the sandbags. Even so, the alarm has been notable, full of colorful nuance and learned anecdotes about Medieval Venice and such. We've had the time for it. There'll be no time for nuance when it all fails at once. It'll be a fire-hose in the face. Events won't so much occur as uncork that which has already occurred.

We're about done stair-stepping. The ruling class and whole nations are preparing to act with blinding speed for the final feeding frenzy, anxious to cage prize morsels before decamping to their redoubts for brandy and cigars. That, my friend, is what all the positioning is about. They're maneuvering, rigging this and nudging that to get just the right deflection, always careful not to snag a tripwire prematurely, but knowing somebody will blunder eventually. Ergo, when it ruptures you'll need an egg-timer at most.

The alert and realistic observer, also known as a tinfoil hat alarmist, sees the maneuvering and what it points to. Nobody notices an oncoming feeding frenzy quite so readily as those intended be fed upon. But while you've been stockpiling and planting thorny bushes outside your windows and putting away heritage seeds, the elite has figured out they don't need to be clever to survive, they can just be somewhere else. Surely you've noticed Peruvian realtors and sellers of big boats are the new best friends of affluent America. And how they've been keeping company with suppliers of portable wealth.

You may think it comforting we're all in this together. We're not all in this together. You and yours are on your own, or at most you and yours and those trusted few with whom you can ally. Remus has told you many times: stay away from crowds. They're indifferent at best, most are opportunists calculating an advantage at your expense. Some are outright vermin. America isn't Cherry Blossom Valley in 1932 where folksy neighbors look out for one another and leave a picnic ham on the porch of those in need.

No no.

This time your odds are many millions to one.

Against...

We Are All German Jews Now

Take the time, please, for this brief essay from Whiskey And Gunpowder.

Set-up for the author's point:

***
...The ultimate horrors in Nazi Germany were, indeed, much more terrible than anything close to what has occurred so far in America. But one should do more than only consider just the ultimate horrors of what went on in Nazi Germany. One must think about the road that was traveled by the Germans to get to that point.
I believe one of the most serious misunderstandings about totalitarianism is that it arrives as a full package that requires no assembly. That it is put on the people, like a winter coat. All at one time, and in full view for all to see.
This is a grave misunderstanding...

Compliance Training

Watch that video above, as posted by Boortz on Tuesday.

Think for a minute.

Then answer this question:

Is there any way in all of creation that that little boy was a threat of any kind to the aircraft he and his mother were boarding?

Now watch the video again, while listening to the soundtrack.

Is there any question in your mind that this young man will have similar experiences in the near future to reinforce the lesson that anything is acceptable as long as Mommy and "the authorities" say so?

And will the man that emerges from that child be capable of independent thinking and resistance to evil?

Do you understand?

Actions are now what matters.

If there can be an honest history written of these last days of the old American Republic, what American citizens do -- not say -- in the next six months will be dispositive.

You know the difference between Right and Wrong.

Act like it.

Or Doesn't That Matter Anymore?

Subject: Violations of the 4th Amendment

Or doesn't that matter anymore?

The following are 22 quotes about enhanced pat downs and TSA groping.  They are presented without commentary because they speak for themselves.  Please share these quotes as widely as possible.  If Americans do not wake up now, when will they ever wake up?….

#1 Blogger Erin Chase:
I stood there, an American citizen, a mom traveling with a baby with special needs formula, sexually assaulted by a government official. I began shaking and felt completely violated, abused and assaulted by the TSA agent. I shook for several hours, and woke up the next day shaking.

#2 ABC News producer Carolyn Durand:
“The woman who checked me reached her hands inside my underwear and felt her way around.”

#3 Wendy James Gigliotti:
“She said ’spread your legs.’ And then she took her full palms and started at my neck and ran all the way down my body, full palms, constant contact. And when she got down to my feet, she was in constant contact from my ankles all the way up to my groin, across my groin, and down the other leg. And she did that twice.”

#4 Female air traveler Ella Swift:
“The female officer ran her hand up the inside of my leg to my groin and she did it so hard and so rough she lifted me off my heels.”

#5 Flight attendant Cathy Bossi:
“She put her full hand on my breast and said, ‘What is this?’.  And I said, ‘It’s my prosthesis because I’ve had breast cancer.’ And she said, ‘Well, you’ll need to show me that’.”

#6 Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano:
“I think we all understand the concerns Americans have. It’s something new. Most Americans are not used to a real law enforcement pat-down like that.”

#7 A 61-year-old bladder cancer survivor:
“One agent watched as the other used his flat hand to go slowly down my chest. I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me. Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants.”

#8 An anonymous TSA worker:
“Molester, pervert, disgusting, an embarrassment, creep. These are all words I have heard today at work describing me. …These comments are painful and demoralizing.”

#9 Robert Colella:
If some total stranger walked up to you in the street and said “I am either going to see you naked or touch your genitals”, What would be the likelihood of that person walking away from that encounter?

#10 CNN employee Rosemary Fitzpatrick:
“As an experienced traveler for work who was in tears for most of the search process, I have never experienced a more traumatic and invasive travel event!”

#11 Meagan Quinn:
I will not board an airplane in America until the TSA body scanners are gone. No one is seeing my naked body unless I let them. I will also not settle for being GROPED in public as an alternative.

#12 A lawsuit filed on behalf of a female college student from Amarillo Texas:
“As the TSA agent was frisking plaintiff, the agent pulled the plaintiff’s blouse completely down, exposing plaintiffs’ breasts to everyone in the area.”

#13 Bruce Sargent:
The sexual humiliation of detainees at Abu Ghraib is not so very different then the sexual humiliation being heaped on American air travelers at airports. Why is TSA torturing us to protect us?

#14 A 37-year-old Texas woman who had her nipple ring removed with a pair of pliers before she was allowed to pass through security:
“My experience with TSA was a nightmare I had to endure. No one deserves to be treated this way.”

#15 A soldier returning from Afghanistan:
“So we’re in line, going through one at a time. One of our soldiers had his Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it gets better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a pair of nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the soldier that they’re going to confiscate his nail clippers.”

#16 A flight attendant named Megan:
The agent went up my right leg first and then met my vagina with full force….the same on the other leg with the same result. She then used both of her hands to feel my breasts and squeezing them. At this point I was in shock.

#17 Jay Glover:
I spend on average $30K per year on business travel. The airlines get the bulk of this but hotels, car rentals, meals and miscellaneous expenses add up as well. Where I can cut travel, I will. When those associated with airport travel feel the financial pinch just watch how fast this all will change.

#18 Paul Craig Roberts:
It is difficult to imagine New Yorkers being porno-screened and sexually groped on crowded subway platforms or showing up an hour or two in advance for clearance for a 15 minute subway ride, but once bureaucrats get the bit in their teeth they take absurdity to its logical conclusion.

#19 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when asked if she would like to go through the new pat-downs:
“Not if I could avoid it. No. I mean, who would?”

#20 TSA Administrator John Pistole during a Congressional hearing:
“If you are asking me, am I going to change my policies? No.”

#21 U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller to TSA chief John Pistole:
“I Think You’re Doing A Terrific Job.”

#22 Congressman Ron Paul:
I introduced legislation last week that is based on a very simple principle: federal agents should be subject to the same laws as ordinary citizens. If you would face criminal prosecution or a lawsuit for groping someone, exposing them to unwelcome radiation, causing them emotional distress, or violating indecency laws, then TSA agents should similarly face sanctions for their actions.

Here's the plan for ATL/Hartsfield from the Georgia Campaign For Liberty; see you there tomorrow:

November 23, 2010

Dear Georgia Campaign for Liberty Activist,

I'm writing to let you know about an important event on Wednesday, November 24: National Opt-Out Day.

No doubt you've heard about the Transportation Security Administration's new enhanced security measures. You may be singled out for such treatment. (If not, count your blessings and keep on moving through the metal detectors.) If you decide to opt out of getting scanned by the new millimeter-wave scanners that take nude pictures of you, you may be patted down by a TSA agent in a manner that has been described by some as "embarrassing" or "assaultive." The irony is, many travelers who opt for the scans get patted down anyway because the scanners are prone to error.

Granted, there is no winning in this situation. If one decides to decline both the scan and the pat-down, one is subject to arrest, detention, and hefty fines, not to mention missing one's flight. Clearly, this is in violation of your rights that are recognized by the Fourth Amendment.

Many people are refusing to fly until the TSA backs down. But if you choose to fly or have to fly because of work or an emergency on November 24, many of your fellow travelers are choosing to opt out of the scan. It is called National Opt-Out Day, and I ask that you consider joining them in protest of these Draconian tactics.

TSA is promising delays on Wednesday. I expect they will try to show “us citizens” who’s boss by blaming the victims of their heavy-handed groping. This will cause delays, so show up well in advance of your flight.

If you feel that the pat-down was invasive, please fill out a TSA Complaint Form and mail it in. You may have a hard time finding one, so print this one off and have it ready. You might want to take several for your fellow travelers.

You also should insist that TSA screeners change their gloves before they put their hands on you. Click here for more information on the health hazards caused by poor hygiene at TSA.

If you are not flying that day, but you want to help spread the word about the National Opt-Out Day, Campaign for Liberty Local Coordinator Brett Bittner (brett@unitedliberty.org) is heading up an effort to hand out literature at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Please let him know you are interested in helping by joining the Facebook page for the event. This will take place outside entrance doors N1-N6 and S1-S6, so please dress accordingly for the weather. [WRSA NOTE: CURRENT RALLY POINT IS NORTH TERMINAL OUTSIDE DOOR N-1 AT 0930 LOCAL; PARTICIPANTS INTERESTED IN BEING "LEGAL" MUST HAVE A COPY OF THE RALLY PERMIT]

The plan is to pass out literature educating the flying public about "opting out" on Wednesday. Signs and apparel promoting this cause are acceptable and encouraged. Participants will merely be passing out literature and promoting that travelers "opt out" of the body scanners, so this is a NON-CONFRONTATIONAL activism effort.

Signs can be no wider than your body width or 2 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and 4 inches thick - whichever is smaller. They cannot be affixed to any wooden, metal, or plastic apparatus.

Thanks for all that you do to spread the word about freedom!

Yours in liberty,

Ike Hall

Synopsis: In the tranquil suburb of Excalibur Estates, ART, his wife GWEN, and their CHILDREN lead contented lives. Art cajoles with his neighbors,MERL and LANCE, then spends another quiet evening with his close-knit and loving family. They don’t notice news reports about an odd cosmic anomaly – an unusually bright star and a series of impending gamma-ray flares. Despite these strange warnings, Art prepares for another day at work.At the office, the routines of daily life are interrupted when breaking news broadcasts a government press conference. Authorities describe recent cosmic activity from a type of super-dense star that has released a burst of gamma rays. This massive electromagnetic storm is heading toward Earth and will affect every part of the planet – disrupting electricity grids, cell phones, and every other modern convenience. As the government declares martial law in urban areas, requests to remain calm go unheeded as everyone in Art’s office panics and flees to get back home before the gamma rays cripple the planet’s infrastructure. Art and Gwen struggle to get through the dangerously gridlocked traffic to reunite at home. When the catastrophe hits, there is little outward effect – the skies light up as the electricity and all communications are disabled indefinitely. Art and his family provide emotional support to one another, wondering what it is that is happening – some sort of end times? No one knows, but they are resolved to stick together as a family and a community.
The residents of Excalibur Estates awake to a very different world. As they survey their neighborhood, they learn that they must survive in a simpler lifestyle than they’d previously enjoyed. Merl, a former military man who has been prepared for such an event, is stocked up with supplies. The neighborhood falls into contentious chaos, conflicts arising particularly from the antisocial MORRIS. Art becomes an unexpected peacemaker as he takes a stand and gives an impassioned speech – imploring his peers to take charge of this situation and band together to turn their community into one that thrives despite this adversity. Art’s leadership inspires the residents of Excalibur to brainstorm, discuss how to manage their resources, and create their own list of rules for maintaining law and order in a world where those systems have disappeared. The development buzzes with activity as they pool their skills and supplies, create stockpiles of food to be rationed, work out hunting and gardening systems, develop a defensive perimeter. Soon, they’re having fun and bonding in ways they never did when they were reliant on mindless entertainment – now they’re enjoying each other’s company in a more pure way than ever before.
Their peace is disrupted when they find that Morris has been stealing food. According to their rules, Morris is imprisoned. When he tries to escape, his sentence is lengthened. Meanwhile, Art, Lance, and Merl see a box of Red Cross supplies dropped a few miles away. They arm themselves and venture out. They are ambushed by THUGS but manage to escape, now aware that other neighborhoods haven’t fared as well. When Morris is released, he tries to attack Art’s family. Restraining his desire to kill Morris, Art banishes him from the community. The maligned Morris wanders to another town, run by THUGS. He negotiates his own survival by telling them about the wealth of supplies within Excalibur. These lowlifes send spies, which alerts Art, Merl, Lance, and the others to the possibility of attack. As Morris deceptively fuels the flames of hatred, the thugs arm themselves with makeshift weapons and launch a brutal invasion of Excalibur. Residents fight back to defend the prosperity they’ve built with their own blood, sweat, and tears. As the two villages clash, many good people are lost in the bloody, intense suburban war.
Coming to theatres next year.

Or to your neighborhood before that.

...Defend that.

Find a way to defend the separation of a child young enough that he still has a binky from his mother and the non-answers and obfuscation of the TSA.

Go ahead and try.

You like being sheep?  Government property? Your own children no longer have a right to be with you because some TSA goon wants to get cute and play God?

Watch The Other Hand

The TSA Molocaust continues, but, as several commenters have noted, where is Leviathan's other hand and what is it doing?

Consider these posts by Denninger:

The Ben Bernank: It's A Depression And I Should Be Imprisoned

MERS Lobbyists Descend....

ALERT: Casus Belli - Ex-Post-Facto Law!

Read these posts and see if these crib notes fit your understanding:

1) The major US banks are broke, due to the hundreds of billions of dollars in unrecognized (and unrecoverable) residential and commercial mortgage losses currently hidden in their financial records.

2) The pension funds and other holders of the securities created from those now-severely-impaired mortgages may be even more broke, as the transfers involved in the creation of those securities may have been in violation of applicable state law.

3) If there isn't a whole heaping helping of legislation passed asap by the lame-duck 111th Congress to legitimize both those transfers and the resulting securities retroactively, the Doomsday Debt Machine of points #1 and #2 above will detonate and devastate both the American and world economies (along with many of the world's governments).

Coming Soon To A Courtroom Near You

Gates of Vienna links to this interview with Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff on her upcoming trial in Vienna on “hate speech” charges.

Key introductory grafs:

JG: You are the second Austrian who has been charged with hate speech for criticism of the Qur’an and Islam. Minister of Parliament Dr. Susanne Winter was convicted by a Graz court in January 2009 of hate speech against Islam, received a suspended sentence of three months and was fined the equivalent of $30,000 in Euros. Dutch M.P. Geert Wilders’ trial on similar charges in the Netherlands has been halted because of witness tampering by one of the judges in the Amsterdam tribunal. Now you, an Austrian housewife and leader of the Act for America Chapter in Austria, are the subject of an unprecedented legal action. My question for you is why is your hate speech trial different from that of M.P. Winter and extremely dangerous?

ESW: My trial is different from the simple point of view that I am a housewife and I am not a member of parliament or a politician. That’s basically all there is to it. I’m a private citizen who is concerned about Islam and the contents of the Qur’an, the Sunnah and Hadith. That is the main difference between Geert Wilders, Susanne Winter and me.

Read the whole thing.

And think about the place where America used to be, ten years hence....

The TSA Touches Our Constitutional Junk

An essential read from Gates of Vienna; key sample:

***
...In his assertion that the Fourth Amendment must be suspended, Mo McGowan speaks [in the video above] matter-of-factly. His evident unconcern is not due to his being evil — banal or otherwise — but because he is used to it. The government has been able to override the Constitution at will for as long as he or any other living person can remember. Whenever the Constitution got in the way of doing his job, why, he just had to push it aside. It was no big deal — everybody did it.

In order for this situation to change, the American people will have to stage a really big ruction of some sort (WRSA - emphasis added). To get an idea of how big, consider this: there are about fifteen million federal employees in addition to our elected representatives and federal judges (WRSA note: this number is wrong, although the idea is spot-on). Every single one of them has a vested interest in the extra-constitutional status quo, and together they control the armed forces, federal law enforcement, the IRS, and the power of the purse. Virtually all high-level federal administrators will dig in their heels to resist any attempt by We the People to reclaim the Constitution...

And virtually every single one of those FedGov parasites scoffs at you and any idea of limiting their power.

If they think of you at all.

They do not respect you.

They certainly do not fear you.

They are winning.

And they plan to continue in the same Leviathan-growing manner as the past 75 years...

Remember this dialogue from The Untouchables?

Malone: You said you wanted to get Capone. Do you really wanna get him? You see what I'm saying is, what are you prepared to do?

Ness: Anything within the law.

Malone: And *then* what are you prepared to do? If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way. Because they're not gonna give up the fight, until one of you is dead.

Ness: I want to get Capone! I don't know how to do it.

Malone: You wanna know how to get Capone? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way! And that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that? I'm offering you a deal. Do you want this deal?

Ness: I have sworn to capture this man with all legal powers at my disposal and I will do so.

Malone: Well, the Lord hates a coward.
[jabs Ness with his hand, and Ness shakes it]

Malone: Do you know what a blood oath is, Mr. Ness?

Ness: Yes.

Malone: Good, 'cause you just took one.

What are you willing to do to live as a free American?

'Cuz you're gonna need to do that and a helluva lot more to even stand a chance against these filthy vermin.

Think on that a while.

Lawrence: Seven Pillars Of Wisdom

...And how would the Turks defend all that? No doubt by a trench line across the bottom, if we came like an army with banners; but suppose we were (as we might be) an influence, an idea, a thing intangible, invulnerable, without front or back, drifting about like a gas? Armies were like plants, immobile, firm-rooted, nourished through long stems to the head. We might be a vapour, blowing where we listed. Our kingdoms lay in each man's mind; and as we wanted nothing material to live on, so we might offer nothing material to the killing. It seemed a regular soldier might be helpless without a target, owning only what he sat on, and subjugating only what, by order, he could poke his rifle at...

-- T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom

...In 1946, in a conversation with General Raoul Salan of France, Giap reportedly informed him, "My fighting gospel is T.E. Lawrence's 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom'. I am never without it."

... Lawrence noted ... "Rebellions can be made by 2 per cent active in a striking force and 98 per cent passively sympathetic."

    National Opt-Out Day Suggestions

Per the content of Venlet's piece here, a few suggestions for the upcoming National Opt-Out Day next Wednesday:

    1) Gutsy guys and dolls who must fly should strongly consider wearing freedom-flight kilts, sans knickers, of course. Opt-out of the milliwave machine and really vocalize during the offensive touching to follow.

    2) Another stickier approach is to don incontinence pants under your (old and baggy) trousers, and fill the plastic skivvies with your choice of chocolate or tapioca pudding immediately before entering the TSA security area. Indicate that you'd prefer a pat-down, rather than the milliwave machine. As you are groped, some of the pudding will ooze somewhere, at which point you should nonchalantly reach into your pants, scoop some with your finger, and taste it. Pronounce it "yummy" as the blueshirt retches....

You'll have an uncomfortable flight, but what memories!

    3) For those folks not traveling, consider agitating with signs and leaflets along the airport approach roads and passenger transit areas to encourage travelers to

    a) opt-out of the milliwave machine, and

    b) insist on individual groinital attention by the Touching Smegma Aggressively personnel.

    4) While you are in the airport area, see if you can find the employee parking lots where the blue-shirted Testicle Squeezing Agents come and go to work. Once you've done so, you can either share that information in the public interest, or simply save the data for appropriate action later in the struggle.

Hey, weren't those the same folks behind the "hatriots"/Threeper/Oathkeeper scaremongering back in April?

    Why, yes, it was.

    Keep poking, boys.

    Just keep poking.
