A Czar Is Born

Powerline sends.

These people are not Americans.

Period.

I think the problem is in thinking that we are Americans. Or rather, that there is some sort of overarching bond of "American-ness" that bonds people like us to people like him.

Ultimately the other side will win unless we wake up and stop acting like the good little patriots they expect us to be. They will exploit that for everything it is worth.

Stop thinking you're an "American". Stop thinking you owe "America" anything. We are a stateless nation, and the United States of America isn't ours anymore.

Praise Gov from whom all blessings flow?

Historically, such men end up ... disappointed. See Mussolini and Ceausescu. They turned their countries upside down, but in the end, their people returned the favor.

The arrogance of these self anointed elites knows no bounds.

The notion that we "owe everything to the sovereign" should make the blood boil of everyone who considers themselves to be an American.

Yeah, "NUDGE" is a gently deceptive way (and always said with a smile) of stating that you will be coerced through the threat of force to do as you are told by these sanctimonious phonies. Every aspect of your life should be mandated and reviewed by your overlords. This is what they believe, with religious fervor, because they're so steeped in their academically centric way of thinking.

Sunstein is just another filthy collectivist who needs to be sanctioned with extreme prejudice.

We simply can't afford to tolerate their existence, in America, any longer.

They cost too much in lives ended, treasure, and worst of all, time.

Yup.

We can sing songs of the past glories of the US of A, if we choose.

But where I live is no longer that place.

A better question for this time in history than "How do we restore the Republic?" is

"How do I arrange my life and affairs such that I have access to the people/places/things that make me happy, while neither infringing on others' natural rights nor being subject in any way to a horde of overgrown hallway pass monitors with guns?"

Follow Henry Hill's advice from Goodfellas: "If we wanted something, we just took it. If anyone complained, they got hit so bad, believe me, they never complained again."

Glenn Beck has been all over this guy since day 1. Calls him the most dangerous man in America.

They have their lists, we have ours.

Glad to see you on this guy's case, too, CA. I've been beating him like a rented mule every chance I get.

Anon KPN3% - you won't be "coerced through the threat of force " - at least, not necessarily. Say they want you to give up your private transportation and move to their glorious collective transport system - they just raise your costs so high that you can't stand it. They didn't make it illegal to keep your truck/suv/car, and they didn't go all Stalin on you and point guns at you, they just made it so uncomfortable you moved to relieve their pressure.

The idea behind the book Nudge is simple: we all have an inner Homer Simpson and an inner Mr. Spock who run our decision making. While the Ruling Class Elites are under the control of their inner Spock, you're ruled by Homer. You're too stupid to make good choices, so the wise and wonderful government will make them for you.

By the way - that anger and revulsion you're feeling? That "who the f#?*k do they think they are??" feeling? That's just another symptom of the "optimism and overconfidence" that your inner Homer gives you, according to Dr. Ass Buttstain himself.

I am going to study up on this dude. Gawd I hate this admin...it's like a giant waste of time sprinkled with some of the most ineffective idealogues and idiots to ever get a government post.

Would you rather have a prison inmate or a Harvard scholar for prez?

I picked the inmate. You will too.

Every president since Calvin Coolidge, and Woodrow Wilson before him, has been JUST LIKE OBAMA.

Any notion that Obama is worse than Franklin Roosevelt is, to be kind, the babblings of an idiot.

George W. Bush, aka Bush II, was NOT better than Obama, neither was Clinton, nor Bush I, nor Reagan, no Carter, and so on. Read Assassin Nation by James Bovard to see how similar Obama is to George W. Bush.

Really, folks, this disintegration of the Republic created by the Constitution began while it was being written, continued in earnest before the ink was dry, and was greatly accelerated by the monster, Abraham Lincoln.

I hope to see Sunstein's body swinging in the wind along the Washington Mall before I pass on - among others of course.

Unfortunately, I don't think the American people have the courage of their convictions, er. uhhh. Ok, let's try again:

Unfortunately, I don't think the American people have enough conviction to have any courage.

Ok, that's the best I can do at the moment.
