Do you understand yet?
And remember -- the Bad People know that the few Americans who remain will - in all probability - not resist, at least in any sort of meaningful, distributed, sustained way.
Hence:

...The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal.
We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.
Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.
The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power...

Any questions?

It is amazing the speed at which this tyranny is now progressing.
Even more amazing is the fact that when I was a lad, no one thought it possible that such things could happen here. Things that were once anathema to the American psyche are now considered necessary for the good of the country.
If the antidote isn't administered soon, I surmise that the communist venom will soon kill the American body. And it's gonna be our fault. We let that viper live in a our midst for way too long.
"Any Questions?"
When does 'Net Nuetrality' come into effect?
Pass the Soma.
Some jewels from the article:
"The government defines a suspicious activity as "observed behavior reasonably indicative of pre-operational planning related to terrorism or other criminal activity" related to terrorism.
At the fusion center, an officer would decide to either dismiss the suspicious activity as harmless or forward the report to the nearest FBI terrorism unit for further investigation.
From 2005 to 2007, the Maryland State Police went even further, infiltrating and labeling as terrorists local groups devoted to human rights, antiwar causes and bike lanes.
And in Pennsylvania this year, a local contractor hired to write intelligence bulletins filled them with information about lawful meetings as varied as Pennsylvania Tea Party Patriots Coalition gatherings, antiwar protests and an event at which environmental activists dressed up as Santa Claus and handed out coal-filled stockings.
In the Colorado Information Analysis Center, some investigators were following terrorism leads. Others were looking into illegal Craigslist postings and online "World of Warcraft" gamers."
Rest assured, these efforts are in the hands of competent people. Those World of Warcraft gamers can be tough SOBs. I bet the Mumbai attackers were WoW devotees.
There is nothing to see here. Move along, enemy of the State. This will go in your file.

Dang it, Dale. Not everything is a government conspiracy! Now quit painting your house number over mine!
Dear Washington Post et al.,
How kind of you to acknowledge our emails, letters and phone calls FROM THE PAST 20 YEARS. Now that the government is ... "interested" ... in YOUR Web sites, YOUR cable TV systems and YOUR radio and TV stations, YOUR motives for your inquiries into their operation under the Freedom of Information Act and YOUR political associations...
... welcome to the party, pal.
