Bingo!

In response to the Evans-Pritchard column on Ireland's re-enslavement, a reader comments:

"bear in mind that the VAST majority of the young people in question fully believe that the state owes them and others the goodies that they've been getting"

You're right, and the solution is to TALK to them.

Several months ago I attended an "America Speaks" session. That got the fire going in my belly. Getting gas on the way home, I talked to the Gen-Z kid filling my tank (no self-service here in OR). I explained to him that my generation was in the process of leaving his generation with a debt they cannot possibly pay and that I'm ashamed of my despicable generation. He was already dimly aware of it and he seemed to appreciate me talking to him, adult to adult, about it.

I need to be talking to more of those kids. They need to be encouraged to recognize this ongoing f**k story for what it is, and know that some of us recognize it too.

We must take responsibility for our future circumstances, by which I mean, refuse SS/medicare/medicaid as much as possible, and show them by example that they must take responsibility for theirs.

And I would add, teach them why certain folks have richly earned extra-special attention.

Cap it with instruction on the various and sundry means of attention-paying, and you will have greatly complicated the OpFor's solution.

Or do you really think that a bunch of half-crippled, grumpy bastards are enough to stomp Leviathan?

Do the Bastards have lawyers, guns, and money? Then, yes.

Youth can be instructed quite rapidly, when they realize the stakes. So can some older folks.

Half-crippled, grumpy bastards are risking the most worthless half of their lives, while youth are risking the best half. Of course, the prize for winning is also proportional to the stakes.

Bet on the Americans, to win. I know it's posted as 8:1, but if you don't bet you can't win. The other side is nakedly shorting the odds, so bet with your gut.

I notice that my 18x face value silver coins of several weeks ago are now 21x face value. That be 'flation and raw manipulation (failing), if I ever seen it.

Take delivery. Everyone, take physical possession, not paper lies. Take delivery.

Cheers.

I'm 27 and know that none of those entitlements will exist come my eligibilty for them. Can't say I want them. I would like my money back though. I'm getting tired of getting ripped of in America, the land of grand propery rights.

Give me one hundred "half crippled Grumpy Bastards" and the return to freedom will be a quick one!

First, the half-crippled, grumpy bastards here in Oregon are outnumbered by the Golden Horde of freebie-demanders. Witness the results of the last election. This state, with the exception of some of its southern-most areas is blue through-and-through.
Second, should the half-crippled grumpy bastards decide to do anything, they will be facing a compliant, corrupt, police infrastructure backed up by National Guardsmen/women who are sucking up college tuition benfits in exchange for their serdom, and loads of Obama-loving Quislings who would only be too happy to snitch off their armed neighbors in exchange for rewards(read THE DAY THE DOLLAR DIED). Having lived in this socialist workers paradise for the last eight years, I have learned to play my cards very close to the vest and not associate with alot of folks. After reading the letters to the editor in the local paper, I fear I will be in line for the Emiliano Zapata memorial award(I WOULD RATHER DIE ON MY FEET THAN LIVE ON MY KNEES!) Oregon will knuckle under. It has had the sheeple mentality for generations. It's time to go to Idaho.

I'm the Anon who made the comment you quoted. I'm honored.
Anon 5:39, you're right that we're outnumbered, but "blue through and through" is an exaggeration. There are more of us out there than you seem to think, especially outside the urban areas. Have you joined a gun club? Have you gritted your teeth and got involved in Republican Party activities? You need more friends, no sarcasm intended.
Anon 10:01, talk to your friends about this. Please.

Anon @ 5:39,

I'm a former Southern OR resident who is currently checking out Western MT for that very reason. "Grumpy, half-crippled" describes me pretty well. But I have had conversations with a few young folks in both OR and MT about "attention-paying" and know that some will likely follow in our footsteps. One already has the motivation and the means, another is ready to be instructed, starting with some lessons in reloading (he's already a hunter).

Hopefully, there is already a large pool of talent avaiable in the form of those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Even if the VA/BATF connection deprives some of them of their weapons, well, we grumpy, half-crippled old SOBs will simply have to resupply them when the time comes.

anon@8:01,
'Have you joined a gun club?Have you gritted your teeth and got involved in Republican Party activities? You need more friends, no sarcasm intended.'

Hate to argue with you on this one but that advice is way out in left field. All my gun club, republitard friends are so brainwashed from watching Sean Haniturd and his cronies they couldn't tell you what the truth is if you gave them a TV prompter. At this late stage of the game, aligning yourself with a political party and trying to claim you've got your ducks in a row is insane, and actually humorous to boot.
The only half-crippled, grumpy bastards that will be able to pull their ass out of the fire will be free thinking ones. Not someone dumbed down by party dogma. The D's and R's have proven they are the same thieving bastards in different suits. Not one of them is to be trusted and you go on preaching about how these are the people to 'trust'. I truly hope you reap the fruit of your preaching to the utmost.

On another note, be careful where you move in Idaho or Montana. I left Idaho 16 yrs ago for rural Wyoming and the people here aren't any smarter than where I left. Just a whole lot less of them. Most here watch Fox News and haven't a clue what the truth or the Constitution really is, just Hannity's interpretation and then argue politics based on Fox's legal lesson for the hour. Siding with that kind of insanity is a sure trip to the camps for anyone dumb enough to follow along. Obviously none of ever watched "V for Vendetta" or read "1984" did you.
