Evans-Pritchard: Ireland's Debt Servitude
Ambrose Evans-Pritchard illuminates the latest group of citizens to be bilked by the globobankers.
Oh, and for those dimwits in the "can't happen here" crowd:
It already has.
What the hell do you think Fannie, Freddie, TARP, Porkulus, Obamacare, and the rest have been?
And it will be getting worse.
Hopefully, Zappa called it right and American young people will soon start stomping their filthy Boomer elders one by one into oozing lumps of iPhone-shard-laden, Botoxed-and-Viagraed jelly.
"Shameful" doesn't begin to describe it.

Great piece

“Nothing quite symbolised this State’s loss of sovereignty than the press conference at which the ECB man spoke along with two IMF men and a European Commission official. It was held in the Government press centre beneath the Taoiseach’s office. I am a xenophile and cosmopolitan by nature, but to see foreign technocrats take over the very heart of the apparatus of this State to tell the media how the State will be run into the foreseeable future caused a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach.”

All this debt currency is nothing less than fraud. A house of cards built on a foundation of sand. It cannot stand for long.
Default and go from there.
In the case of the U.S. it is time to demand a repudiation of the debt. In the Bible there was such a thing as the year of Jubilee. All debts were forgiven. Seems like a rational thing to do at this point. But the moneychangers won't allow that to happen.

Which boomer elders are we talking about? I'm a boomer, but I sure as hell didn't put this fiasco together. I'm going to assume you mean the people who actually did this crap. I know of my own culpability, as an individual. There are some fellow boomers I'd like to "talk" to, though.
Sean:
As am I.
Your job (as mine is, albeit a dim shadow of your performance) is to teach the young ones how to off the ones that need to go.
No quarter.
Well I guess I'm a "boomer elder", I'm 51 years young and I sure as hell won't be stomped by any pissy spiky haired nosed ringed tatooed youngster, unless he's FMJ proof. Ciao.
Anon:
As I said to Sean, I too am in the '45-'64 boomer cohort.
If you are reading this blog, you are likely not among the clueless who will get stomped.
Careful what you wish for because as the old saying goes; the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. Also bear in mind that the VAST majority of the young people in question fully believe that the state owes them and others the goodies that they've been getting...it's what they've been taught all their lives (which we paid for that by the way). When they finally appreciate the bill they've been saddled with I doubt they will make distinctions as to whom is to blame when they erect the gallows.

"bear in mind that the VAST majority of the young people in question fully believe that the state owes them and others the goodies that they've been getting"
You're right, and the solution is to TALK to them.
Several months ago I attended an "America Speaks" session. That got the fire going in my belly. Getting gas on the way home, I talked to the Gen-Z kid filling my tank (no self-service here in OR). I explained to him that my generation was in the process of leaving his generation with a debt they cannot possibly pay and that I'm ashamed of my despicable generation. He was already dimly aware of it and he seemed to appreciate me talking to him, adult to adult, about it.
I need to be talking to more of those kids. They need to be encouraged to recognize this ongoing f**k story for what it is, and know that some of us recognize it too.
We must take responsibility for our future circumstances, by which I mean, refuse SS/medicare/medicaid as much as possible, and show them by example that they must take responsibility for theirs.
