User Review On The "Girlie Gun"

GardenSERF sends.

Remember: by using something with which she feels comfortable, she is willing to do what she has previously refused -- whether for good reasons or bad.

That's a win.

A hit with a .22 is better than a wild miss with a .308.

That rifle could be lightened with a thinner barrel I think, though the .355 bore might be too large to allow that.

There's a shorty front grip that is usually adequate for most folks, should fit her hand too.

Magpul has an actual recoil absorbing pad that fits their CTR Carbine Stock, very lightweight. The recoil pad is listed as their "enhanced rubber pad". Magpul also has the MIAD grip system that can be custom tailored to fit the hand of the user.

I have a friend who was shot in the upper arm with a .22lr from a rifle 40 years ago. It's still a nasty pitted scar.

10/22 with pockets of 25 round magazines can deliver good volume of fire. Aim at the exposed/unarmored bits of the enemy, like boots, hands/arms/face, and their weapons. The IDF is famous for shooting leaders of rioting mobs in the leg with .22lr for good effect.

Cheeeep.

I love my 9mm AR, However the 9mm vs 5.56 will be somewhat a placebo in regards to recoil. The weight of the heavy 9mm bolt and buffer with it's blowback design does have noticeable recoil for what it is.
