Swarms
I cited to this entry from John Robb's Global Guerrillas yesterday, but both it and the base article from the NYT are worthy of a separate post.
Read them both (including all links), then think about the world in which we live.

It's amazing that none of the authors can carry the arguement through to it's logical conclusion. America already has the solution available: the militia. They accurately describe the problem, but fall just short of the correct answer.
Extremely keen. Very smart and incisive gentleman whose website is a gold mine. Read it all before it goes offline. His books is good too.
