Film Review: Tarentino's "Inglourious Basterds"
One word:
Out-freaking-standing.
If money's tight, wait for video.
But see this flick soon.
Very inspirational and energizing for der Kampf gegen die amerikanischen nationalen Sozialisten (the struggle against the American national socialists).
Vorwärts!
PS: Extra bonus points to Tarentino for baseball bat, scalping, and carving instructions.

Yuck.
The wikipedia entry makes it sound like the good guys in this film have let themselves become so emotionally beat down that the best outcome they can imagine is a suicide which also kills some of the enemy. How depressed and mentally ill is that? Have they reinforced their learned helplessness by hiding under the floorboards, unarmed? Do they still believe their majority-voting enemies have a partial claim of legitimate authority?
I prefer instead this refreshing attitude towards pirates: kill the pirates, hang their bodies at the harbor entrance as discouragement, and get on about living your life.
Perhaps Billy Beck could write a review, he seems to be resistant to this kind of depression.
Anon:
Wiki (which I haven't read) does not capture the film correctly.
The Americans live for and enjoy killing the Bad People -- with vigor and enthusiasm.
Give the flick a chance.
