New York and Other States Consider Ammo Microstamping
¡Ya Basta! has this article from the Ithaca, NY paper re New York and other states' consideration of ammunition microstamping, also known as de facto ammunition prohibition.
Read it, along with Rivrdog's take on the same subject.
Alea iacta est.

Here's a comment that I left on Riverdog's blog:
Here's an idea: This technology is all owned by one tiny company. Why don't gun owners buy the damned thing, and then let the patent sit unused until it expires (and, if available, renew the thing for another 17 years). This buys us time. If the company is small, it won't cost much. There are, undoubtedly, a bunch of unemployed investment bankers who'd love to put together a deal to make a few bucks for themselves.
Either that, or buy the patent or exclusive rights to use it until expiration.
Just trying to thing outside of the box.
