Yes, FreeFor needs to know that the situation is dire. But more than that, we need encouragement and exhortation.

I get your critique and acknowledge its validity.
But understand please that I try to put some motivating energy into each post.
Hence, the "union activist" persona at the end of this post. In the right-minded, it is designed to exhort them towards confronting the thugs who threaten our country.
Successful or not, that was the intent.
I hope you also saw this piece last month, which again was designed to help people think their way through to victorious actions.
But let me also say this -- they who look to others for leadership in what lies ahead are setting themselves up for a fall.
You have a brain.
You know the difference between chickensh*t and chicken salad.
Figure it out yourself, and then execute.
There is not now, nor will there ever be, a FreeFor leadership council that will issue orders, approve uniforms, grant fiefs, commission officers, and award medals.
Instead, it will be a very ugly, very local, very tactical battle between multiple tribes in thousands of AOs across the continent.
With one and only one imperative:
My tribe wins. Screw everything else.

Good post, CA. Many of your posts of a similar nature serve as fuel for my PT.
They make me forget about buying "x" (insert modern frivolous object here), and focus on buying or making item "y" (insert useful item directly related to long term survival and sustainability).
I find that "we're screwed" helps me acknowledge the reality of "there's gonna be a fight". Without that acknowledgment, cannot be a "let's win".
I also agree that any future conflict will be very decentralized, very local, without much -if any- coordination.
Anything else is not going to work, at least not at first.

OK 14 million out of a population of 300+ million about 6% of the population, so what. I think I remember a story about how 3% of the some Colonials fought and won against the Strongest Military Force in the WORLD and about 30% of their Fellow Colonialist.

Public Sector Unions make up 50% of the TOTAL Union Force in The Country. And the Private Sector Union Force won't back Public Sector Unions or at worst Private Sector Unions will Be Split. Why do you really think that THEY are going all out in this one Battle....
Because THEY Know(even if most people don't) that this IS THEIR LAST STAND and when they are defeated here it's the end of the line and the free ride Will be over. Almost makes me feel sorry for them, Almost.

That's what "collective bargaining" is about: It enables unions rather than citizens to set the price of government. It is, thus, a direct assault on republican democracy, and it needs to be destroyed. Unlovely as they are, the Greek rioters and the snarling thugs of Madison are the logical end point of the advanced social democratic state: not an oppressed underclass, but a spoiled overclass, rioting in defense of its privileges and insisting on more subsidy, more benefits, more featherbedding, more government.
Let's think about this some more. If anyone is the dreaded brownshirts, it is these people. This is something that needs to percolate to the surface. I don't care if the histories are written 100 years from now, I want the people of the future to know I died at the hands of government-backed thugs.
Also, for an alleged army of 3 million hardcores with deadly killer training, we sure are pretty good at hiding that fact. And if we are 3 million and we're as well-armed and well-trained as we say, what's the holdup?
slaves whisper about freedom, lines in the sand and winning. All the while bowing to the master and the house slaves at every turn. Sad the only vestige of freedom is the vague talk about it.
The truth is we are all slaves.

The goblins think it is the amassing or power and/or plunder.
I define it as survival of my tribe. That would require defense of our sustinance.
What worries me is the number of tribes that will give in to man's fallen nature and seek the goblins' path.
