There are some of those old geezers and cripples...CRIPPLES??..who actually need that money to survive. So 44 plus years of mandatory paying into SS makes me greedy. 15 of those I paid double because I owned my own business.
I'm not crippled but I am disabled and yes I do rely on SS disability for most of my income. And by the way it barely puts food on my table.
Thanks to my greedy ex and a shyster lawyer my retirement was stolen from me all nice and legal.
What would you have all these old people do? Die? So you can go on with your life?
Someday you might live long enough to be old.

Oh and before closing this rant I am a VietNam vet. 2 years IN COUNTRY. Part of the reason I am now disabled was because of my service. I s'pose you're going to begrudge me that too.
I didn't ask to be disabled so I could suck the systems tit, nor did I ask a judge to finalize the theft of my retirement.

The fact is that the money for SocSec and Medicare does not exist.
It has been stolen.
To pay claimants today, more must be stolen and/or borrowed (thus adding to the debt that can never be paid).
Worse yet, bad decisions by current (the "2% tax cut" in FICA withholdings) and past (Did anyone rational really think Medicare Part D drug bennies could be afforded?) regimes have made the problem worse.
"Cranky cripples" is actually a more civil term than "rotten leechfucks", which more accurately describes the hordes of "disabled" people who are milking conditions such as back injuries and various addictions.
And if you don't think the AARP and other grey power orgs qualify for the term "greedy geezers", then we will respectfully disagree.

The fact that the SS fund has been stolen is not news to me.
I know that right now the money I receive will disappear soon.
My problem is being labeled with names I didn't earn.
Never in my life, while I was able to work, did I think SS would be my primary income. NEVER. It happened. Not a damn thing I can do about it.
There are those who absolutely abuse the system including cranky old bastards...I AIN'T one of them.
There are people drawing SS who have never put a penny of their own into it and there are those who are well enough off financially they don't need it but still draw it because they think they have a right to it.
And then of course the corrupt looters in DC who actually believe our money belongs to them. Fuck 'em all. Never had any use for politicians.
I've lived this long and I'll live a while longer with or without SS.
Walk a mile in my shoes and tell me all about what a rotten leechfuck I am.
Yeah so I can't run 10 miles with a 60 lb pack and rifle but I can walk it and I can damn sure hit what I aim at, moving or stationary.

My mom is on SS she survived my Dad who died last year and They Paid into a system that has been robbed by the Departments of Health,Education,and Welfare(thank you LBJ).
It's not her fault that the money that they put into SS was stolen by Other Progressive Government Programs,She can come stay with me and my wife if she wanted to, and maybe that would be the right thing, best thing that could happen but the Government took that money to be put "In-Trust" for their Old Age and they Should get what is coming to them and not the troubles that are coming all our way. I'm kinda partial to my Mom she is the only one I got. So PLEASE don't blame her or her generation. For a "Breach of Contract" perpetrated by the Government.
I understand that the money ain't there we all do. but these Old People are not gonna be near as much trouble as what the Welfare Recipients are gonna be when TSHTF.

The fundamental issue is that the money is not there, and the only "remedy" at hand is more theft.
All the gnashing of teeth and rending of garments doesn't change that.
And yes, many SocSec recipients will be less of a problem than other recipients of government transfer payments.
But to me, the most interesting question is:
What will transfer payment recipients be willing to support and even do in order to keep receiving "their money"?
If we were to "End" the Welfare,
Food Stamp, and Housing Subsidy Programs Today, How much longer could SS be funded for the people that did pay into SS. The problem is not the people that paid into SS, the the problem is all the people who never paid into anything,and the people that have abused and assisted others in abusing all these Programs. And the ones who have been the Cradle to Grave recipients of benefits from a fund that they never contributed to.
And although the government is broke and/or on the verge of Bankruptcy why do so many want to go after Lil'Ol Ladies and Cripples instead of the Leaches that from birth have been sucking us all dry.
If SS is ended today OK, like I said My Mom can come live with me and my family we will be happy to have her with us. But not everyone has that same option as she does.
What to do about them, there is a promise by the Government to help these people,that someone is obliged to compleat.
And as far as my own contributions to SS it's gone I know it and am not looking to get any of that money back, but I'm still working and able to provide for myself and family and probably if I've done my job right as a Father my children might have to be someday be helping me to get buy, If I live that long. But only God knows the future and what it holds for any of us.
It's all gonna come crashing down anyway. But please don't blame these Old People who were lied to same as all the rest of us.
