Pulling Back The Egyptian Veil

Sultan Knish provides some much-needed perspective on the "hope and change" ongoing in Egypt.

Take the time to follow the abundant linkery.

And start to connect the dots in a much-larger game....

Sorry, but "Sultan Knish" is not reliable with regard to the Middle East, neither is Daniel Pipes, Richard Perle, Paul Wolfawitz, Bill Kristol, or Kristol's late father, Irving. You'll also find that virtually all of AIPAC aren't reliable resources on that subject either. It was covered quite well in The Israel Lobby and in this Documentary, none of which is anti-Semitic even slightly. As the late Tony Judt states, some Americans are "loving Israel to death".

Pat:

IMHO, the piece justifies itself with the info on how Cass Sunstein's wife fits into the picture.

Am happy to publish non-Jewish overviews akin to the SK material (suggestions?), but let me be frank:

- Israel is the tribe to pick in the ME if one supports Western values.

- Team Mo in any of its mutations is irreconcilable with fundamental Western values.

- Those who worry too much about "the Jewish lobby" are likely paying too little attention to the Islamic, Sino-Soviet, and secular collectivist machine.

- And yes, the ongoing embrace of collectivism by many Jews is deeply troubling, given the events of the past century.

"Israel is the tribe to pick in the ME if one supports Western values."

Why should I want to pick one? It's just an entangling alliance that can be used as an excuse to drag the US into war. When the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria got assassinated, the proper total US response would have been to send flowers to the funeral.

For Anonymous at 4:39 AM:
One picks Israel because the REST of the raghead swill in the Middle East are coming after us IRREGARDLESS of whether or not we support the Israelis. Keep the filthy bastards busy OVER THERE instead.

And re: your Archduke Ferdinand canard, we DID send flowers FOR THREE YEARS!

CA, I don't regard Zionism as a value of Western civilization, despite its origins in eastern Europe in the 19th century.

We're not going to gift western civilization to the middle east, ever, and certainly not via a government that is essentially an organized criminal gang syphoning off funds from Europe and the US government by an idustry. As Norman Finklestein wrote in The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering. There's also an anthology of articles, mostly written by Jews for Jews, in The Politics of Anti-Semitism.

One of my fears is that the commanding position regarding US foreign policy Israel now enjoys will ultimately produce a very negative backlash against Americans who are Jews.

All of the above said, you are quite right that Islam is incompatible with western civilization, just like socialism was. Europe has foolishly invited Islam into their midst and are now reaping the easily predictable results of that foolhardy action. It's somewhat like sitting on a hill while watching a train wreck in progress, you knew what the results were going to be, it was predicted as far as 1200 years ago, yet the trains are meeting and what was predicted is now happening.

Yes, Cass Sunstein and spouse, and a whole long list of radicals, are involved with Judaism in some way. I consider them the children of Herbert Marcuse and the Frankfort School, neo-Marxists all.

And I've barely touched on the Neoconservates, spawn of Leo Strauss and Leon Trotsky.

Are you seeing a pattern yet?

But someone with the name "Pat" is reliable on middle east issues?
Your point it you don't like Jews and are saying they cannot be trusted.
Ugly stuff Pat H.
