but it might be a cup he found on the street... I never pass by anyone who says they are hungry, since when my Dad was out of work and I was a kid, sometimes none of us would eat unless a neighbor happened by with something.
BUT I don't give the street folks money. Usually I go to the nearest fast food joint and bring back a sack of burgers or chicken or whatever. Yeah, I probably get taken advantage of, sometimes. But if I manage to feed just one or two hungry people who really are desperate, well, maybe that outweighs the rest.
Just one man's thoughts.
PS - yeah, I know the picture was only for illustrative purposes.
But even considering the subtly 'we're all gonna die!' ambiance of the linked article, I still felt the need to make the seemingly irrelevant comment. Must be these hallucinogenic drugs, or my government job, creating mind chasms.
