  1. but it might be a cup he found on the street... I never pass by anyone who says they are hungry, since when my Dad was out of work and I was a kid, sometimes none of us would eat unless a neighbor happened by with something.
    BUT I don't give the street folks money. Usually I go to the nearest fast food joint and bring back a sack of burgers or chicken or whatever. Yeah, I probably get taken advantage of, sometimes. But if I manage to feed just one or two hungry people who really are desperate, well, maybe that outweighs the rest.
    Just one man's thoughts.

    But even considering the subtly 'we're all gonna die!' ambiance of the linked article, I still felt the need to make the seemingly irrelevant comment. Must be these hallucinogenic drugs, or my government job, creating mind chasms.
