Beck: Awesome Failness

From Billy Beck:

Glenn Reynolds links Stephen Den Beste on Obama from four years ago:
"A lot of bad things are going to happen during this term. But I don't think that this is an irreversible catastrophe for the union. I've lived long enough to absorb this basic truth: the US is too large and too strong to destroy in just 4 years. Or even in 8. We survived 6 years of Nixon. We survived 4 years of Carter. We even survived 8 years of Clinton, God alone knows how."
I still maintain that Den Beste is an idiotic myope, and Reynolds is a dingbat fan-boy. Here's what neither of them can account for: the destructions wrought by each of those administrations are still doing their work. They are legion, but we could cite just for examples:

- Nixon's DEA, which has been continuously destroying the Fourth Amendment for nearly forty years and has cultured the SWAT-up of pig cops of a like that 60's radicals could never conceive;

- Carter's Departments of Education and Energy, the latter of which has never produced a single calorie of energy while directly soaking-up untold billions of dollars and strangling authentic production throughout the entire economy, the former of which is the smallest cabinet-level fraud in the U.S. Government, but with the longest-range of destruction -- of budding minds -- of all; and

- Clinton's Clintonism -- the presidential endorsement of post-modern anti-thought, culture wide.

If these people think we're surviving all this, and far more than I have time or patience to list here, then I have two things to point out:

1) They settle like cheap whores. I, for one, am not interested in surviving. I'm interested in America, and that original dynamism that resulted in the most productive culture that the world ever knew before it was set upon by mutant ticks who are tolerated by grinning fools.

2) "Survival" can take place right up to the moment of death, which is probably what it'll take to make these two choke on a sock.

How ridiculous is their rubbish? Can anyone count the ways?

There were these two brothers who decided to go into the turkey-raising business. The first shipment of young poults they ordered died. So did the second.
They called a poultry expert at the local college for help.
"We planted the first batch head down, and that was no good."
"Uh huh. I imagine it wasn't."
"Then we thought we figured it out, but when we planted the second batch head-up, they all died too."
The expert considered a moment, then said "Boys, I think I know what the problem is.
Better send me a soil sample."

Beck again shatters pure collectivist BS into shrapnel with the least amount of words.

The goal is not merely to survive the multitude of indignities heaped upon the Republic; it is to reclaim our lost liberties and regain our former prosperity.

The recent tea party success shows some promise of slowing the decay but much work remains to be done. I intend to redouble my political efforts over the next couple of years.

We should have a much better idea by then if it is possible to achieve a constitutional restoration by peaceful means.
