Half the battle (if not 3/4) of civilization is letting the Orcs know you will kick their ass. Islamic Orcs, drug dealer Orcs, Mexican Orcs, Republican Orcs . . . name your Orc.
It's ironic how the "gentle and nuanced" persons of our time are hiding Orcness. Let's say we did elect a Republican majority this November. And let's say they were committed to righting our finances.
They couldn't do it. The unions, union leaders, environmentalists and lefties would draw blood.

There will be a fight, unlikely nationally, but there will be a fight, or perhaps multiple fights depending on where you live.
Thirty-eight years ago I lived in Montana, not a native, but I liked it there pretty much. When an old friend's daughter married, my wife and I got to spend almost a week there, her first that long, for me it was a chance to really see what had changed.
I was shocked by how effete it had become. It was as if all the children had been taken away at childbirth and returned as progressive/fascists and Green Party activists.
It's strangling the state, I'd expect a very hard fight there.

Mental flash: These budding socialists have never lived under actual socialism. They remind me of the women who used to paint radium onto glow-in-the-dark watch dials. They licked their brushes to keep the points fine, and would use the glow-juice for makeup to spice up their bedroom life with their men. The radioactivity gave them cancer.
The scientists and the watch companies knew, but decided to let them have their fun. Lots more young ladies wanted jobs... they wouldn't run out.
I had a depressing confirmation the other day about the divide. I had friended on facebook a person I knew living in a college town a year or two ago. He has a nice wife, goes to church... an is a pinko apparently. I posted a video interview from the 9/12 rally in DC. He tore into it. We back-and-forthed all day until he finally said he was a reasonable, open person and I was obviously not so he would have nothing more to do with the discussion. The guy could not be reached. He would not come into the same hemisphere as reason. He was a good debater (from the partisan hack view) but we didn't even have the same fundamental values. It was depressing because I knew that, when TSHTF, I wouldn't be able to help him.

That's part of the problem w/ most of those here in the U.S. who promote socialism/communism. The other, & most pernicious, part is such people usually manifest the cognitive dissonance personality disorder to such a degree that the murders of multi-millions doesn't faze them @ all even if some of the murdered are close family members/friends. Indeed, such people will actively co-operate w/ those who will be murdering the aforementioned. IMO, there's only one permanent (& to some a distasteful if not utterly horrendous) way to ensure that these vermin don't continue their periodic destruction, & I don't mean expulsion, sterilization, 're-education', or prison. It would be nice to irretrieveably send the 'true believers' who extol the joys of socialism to places like North Korea/Zimbabwe/similar so they could get some personal experience w/ what they promote, but that wouldn't work as the squish brained family/freinds left behind would be agitating for their repatriation after the thrill of revolution wore off & the dupes were made to earn their keep in a lead mine or other 'public works' project, i.e., 'the plight of Soviet Jewry' in the 70s/80s. And no, I'm not in the slightest worried about accusations of hypocrisy given that the type of person who'll usually make such a charge is often guiltier of it than I.

And do you agree that the aforementioned would use the very young, the elderly, the infirm, females of all ages w/ or w/o children, & 'minorities' of various kinds for propaganda value as per Leftist doctrine, & if such a tactic's used the fight will get even nastier than expected by many if not most of the Restorationists?

That very thing has bothered me about MT/the rest of the mountain states w/ the possible exception of WY. Given that my knowledge of the region is largely via media, it still seems bizarre that so much of what was 'Western culture' evaporated so quickly. I was astonished when I heard of a 1st Amendt challenge to a porn ban in S.L.C. as it hadn't even occurred to me that porn would be openly sold in UT given my personal acquaintence w/ Mormons, & was equally nonplussed @ the dissolution of CO & NM. Yes, I know that much of the rot now infecting the aforementioned states came from the P.D.R.C., but that doesn't, absolve, them from blame for allowing the rot to take hold/spreading it.
Regarding a confrontation w/ the Left in the mountain states, given the parasitic nature of Leftists & the topography of the region, the fight while bloody, isn't likely to a long one. Once video of the Left's 'excesses' in the cities is seen by the rest of the population, the contest would likely (in IMO) devolve into a 'Mad Max' version of settlers v Indians, & you know how that turned out.

You do know that in a SHTF/collapse/civil war situation, your 'peace, love, & brotherhood' Facebook buddy would exterminate you/yours & take what you/yours have, don't you? On that assumption, & knowing what you now know about him, why would it even enter your mind to "try to help him""when TSHTF" as he/his are the types that assaulted the doctor in the Twilight Zone episode "The Shelter"?

The process of cultural dissolution in the mountain West is properly called Californicating. Caused by CA natives who relocate to these calm and peaceful areas, fleeing the implosion of their homelands. They all bring the same words, "We don't do that in California" Perhaps immigration out of these self-destructing areas should be controlled in some way to prevent a recurrence in other places.
One question for Cassandra at 11:33 PM:
Just how capable do you think that the "peace, love, & brotherhood' Facebook buddy" is of actually exterminating anyone on his own, without the assistance of "Law Enforcement"? Exactly WHAT is he going to be able to do it with? It is ESSENTIAL to identify the TRUE enemy who CAN and WILL exterminate you, and deal with them first. Once they are gone, the cleanup on the REST can be leisurely and appropriate.
