Article. I.
Section. 1.
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

Bureacratic Regulations are repugnant to the Constitution. As are the Agencies which dictate them.
WHEN is it time for these filthy maggot bastards to rot in hell?
Are we there yet?
GAWRSH, SOFA!
DANG, lil' Brudda!
You bess' be CAREFUL, main! You go 'round quotin' that there moldy old abomination and BIG Brudda-main gon' come haul you OFF!!!
Sarcasm aside, our Masters in Sodom-on-the-Potomac stopped caring what the Constitution says a good long time ago.
Besides, it's for the CHILDREN!
I keep hoping that - one day - We The People will finally say "ENOUGH!!" and MEAN it.
Frankly, I'm having trouble even believing THAT, of late...
I know, let's all write to our congressman and he'll make this go away.

sofa, not only is that Constitutional quote correct, the US government is prohibited from infringing on the right to possess any weapon by the Constitution as well.
This regulatory move is an escalation of the war we are in with the US government. As soon as everyone comes to grips with this ongoing war, the safer they will be.
These US government thugs will have to be ejected from each state, by use of force that may be lethal if required. They will have to be confronted, let there be no doubt about that.
On another forum, I was asked about the Firearms Freedom Act that had passed in his state. He was observing that no FFL gun dealers were selling Tennessee firearms. I explained to him that Montana, Tennessee, Arizona, and the other states that now have this law on the books will have to create a new gun dealer paradigm, probably by buying dozens of 80% complete AR-15 receivers and making finished products from them, labeled as the state law requires.
At some point the BATFAE will attempt a home or business invasion that will require substantial, planned resistance. The gun confiscating thugs will have to be totally Waco'd. That will either stop this in its tracks, or escalate it to the level required for US government collapse.
It is for the children.
They each get to own a Ruger 10/22 with Choate folding stock and VQ upgraded internals on their 12th birthday. They have to save their pennies for rings and scope, after getting to use a 10/22 with good glass occasionally. .
Don't underestimate the effectiveness of .22LR through a hand, neck, or ankle in impairing a BG out of a fight at 100M. It's not hard to put 10 aimed shots on-target in 5 seconds with the tiny recoil. Yes, it's not a "serious" battle rifle, but it's usable by 4th grade girls and Cub Scouts who can buy training ammo in useful quantity with chore money.
200 rounds of .308Win in magazines is quite a load in a ruck/vest (and a hunnert bucks for the cheapest decent surplus!), but 8 loaded hot lips 25-round magazines is a lunch sack ($9).
On sale, a 10/22 gets down to $169, and it makes sense to buy them by the trunkload on one $10 background check fee. More forms and threat of fines and jail will make some marginal dealers close down, reduce access of the people, and increase costs (that's the purpose of the regulation).
Everything is pre-ban, since 2004. Git some while you can.
Cheers.
WROL -- Without Rule Of Law.
A New York Times editorial said this may not be enough, that it make take an Obama executive order to keep those selfish, greedy underhanded gun dealers from selling AK-47s without paperwork by the baker's dozen to the Mexican drug cartels.
Remember those Serbian media rules of engagement.
And remember that to the Times, "AK-47" means not only selective-fire AK-47s, but an SKS or AKS, anything that LOOKS like an AK, or an AR-15, or any semi-auto. Not just our Ferraris and Lamborghinis, but our Fords and Chevys too.
I don't anticipate buying two semi-auto rifles, or even one, but I emailed The BATFE policy department at BarbaraTerrell@atf.gov to comment. You don't have to fill out a form with your name and address or anything, just send an email.
Even though I think they've had many more advance comments than they deserve.
All else aside, how difficult is it going to be to set up an in-store system to identify the same person buying a gun at each end of a week?
Its just another way for the BATFU to bust gun dealers and put them out of business.
In a busy store with three or more people working the counter, and calling in background checks. Mistakes are going to happen. And in order to prevent those mistakes, another layer hassle and expense is getting layed on honest folks.......mthead
Barbara.Terrell@atf.gov. If I posted that adress, I overlooked the tiny dot.
A few hundred objections MIGHT make a difference. A few thousands or hundred thousands WOULD.
They'd try again later, like the people who've renewed their petition to the EPA to ban lead ammo, but my conscience will be lighter knowing I tried to avert the storm.
Defender,
wish I could help you, but you're just pissin into the wind here. Several hundred thousand e-mails won't matter. They will do what they are going to do, no matter what the cost. Get used to the idea that you don't matter. When will you understand that you can't e-mail or vote your way out of this? They want war.
Semper Fi, 0321
The bureaucracy continues its incremental war on the right to bear arms. And the New York Times cheers as the bureaucrats seel tp circumvent the will of the people, the will of the Congress and the intent of the Constitution.

"When will you understand that you can't e-mail or vote your way out of this? They want war."
No, they want passive compliance. Resist them. If that option is unavailable, evade them. Only when evasion is impossible does conflict become inevitable.
