Slaughter As Stimulus

Militarism is the one great glamor public-works project upon which a variety of elements in the community can be brought into agreement. --

John T. Flynn, As We Go Marching (1944)

Will Grigg illuminates the reasons why the picture below should make cold shivers run down the spine of all right-thinking Americans:

After finishing the Grigg article, bookmark and read at your leisure the Flynn piece quoted in part to open this and Will's posts.

You won't sleep any better (at all), but you will be wiser for the experience.

Uh ... aren't those Iranians Islamofascists?

Okay, I am not a big fan of Islam. But I am not to keen on bringing western style modern "democracy" to them either.

Maybe no one else see's it? Above Afghanistan and Iraq is the Caspian Sea area. Iran, which is between a Iraq and a hard place is DIRECTLY south of the Caspian Sea ... part of its northern border IS the Caspian Sea.

Try typing in your search bar "Caspian Sea Resources".

Or, "Dick Cheney and Caspian Sea".

Or, "Shanghai Corporation Organization and Caspian Sea".

You can work it on from there.

Have fun ... and while you are at it, go back to PNAC and do some reading there to ... surely the THEME can't escape you?

While Roosevelt was America's first progressive/fascist, he wasn't the last. All presidents after Roosevelt has been one form of progressive/fascist or another. When you have scum bags like Doris Kearns Goodwin touting "Greatness Presidents" based on the numbers of people they murdered, you get progressive/fascists.

From Lincoln to Wilson, interupted only by Grover Cleveland, you had a stream of merchantilist presidents, the predecessor to progressive/fascists.

All of which begs several questions.

When will the TEA Party's become less progressive/fascist and adopt an anti-war stand?

Then, what will we all do to tear down the progressive/fascist government in D. C., or abandon it?

Military service reduces "unemployment" temporarily, and war casualties reduce it permanently. Factory jobs needed to make the war materiel reduce unemployment further. Farmers have unlimited demand for unlimited production at a fixed price.

Labor shortage during and after war increases wages in currency terms, but may not increase the value of those wages in terms of goods/services.

1939 "Vampire Economy" (Nazi war economy) documents the many ways workers can be relieved of their pay without providing value much beyond bare housing and enough calories to support the body going to work.

Here we go...

Cheers.

CA - This is not a comment on this topic. I've sent you other links under my old handle "fireplaceguy" but am now posting under my real name at survivethedive.blogspot.com

This link is to another National Inflation Association piece, just out, on food price inflation that everyone should read:

http://survivethedive.blogspot.com/2010/11/national-inflation-association-food.html

My new blog will be more about survival, with some real emphasis on OPSEC/privacy/asset protection, which was one of my particular niches when I was in estate planning.

I'll be sending you stuff from time to time. If you have an e-mail address that would work for this, please send it to me at survivethedive@hushmail.com (and if you're not using hushmail, you may want to. It's encrypted and outside US jurisdiction!) Read about it here:

Keep up the great work!
