Late To The Party

Donald Sensing's post today is essential.

In your daily round, look at all of the people in your AO who would go ape-crazy if a true limited-by-the-Constitution government were installed.

No unconstitutional spending means those people will howl.

And their vote cancels yours.

Whatever suggestions are made, the ones that don't work will be, spray painting signs, throwing rocks through windows, or meeting in parks and carrying unloaded rifles. Fine as fun. Ineffective as a counter to tyranny. Since the tyranny is already here...........

Here in the DC area, it will get far worse than many people around the country think. DC is not as well insulated as many people think.

In the DC Metro area, most commerce is at least tangentially reliant on FedGov. The most affluent Washingtonians are of the Political Class, including Lobbyists, Lawyers, and FedGov contractors.

DC plumbers, car sellers, maids, et cetera all feed on those who earn their checks from FedGov.

If SHTF in this area, via sudden Constitutional compliance, FedGov will throw resources at LEO in an effort to maintain their positions for as long as possible.

The prudent course for Patriots will be to go to ground and let the collapse work its magic, while staying out of the way. Once the bulk of the horror is over, there will be time for mop-up operations.

Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for helpful Patriotic contributions during the ruckus...

PS: Good to have you back.

It's true that many tea partiers were late to wake up but that is true of most movements in history. Does it serve any purpose to brow beat them for being 'Johnny come latelys'? Just to pump ourselves up and say, I saw the way the country was going 10 years...no I saw the way the country was going 20 years ago. Such one-ups-manship serves no purpose. Wouldn't our time be better spent welcoming them, and educating them? We either hang together or we hang separately.

Starve the monkeys.

I am getting my new to me 1963 tractor ready to break more ground next spring to grow more food.
I may expand my chicken heard too have some meat chickens alone with the layers next spring.
I may add some meat goats, for property maintenance and food purposes.
I don’t pay for cable or satellite TV.
I don’t pay for a cell phone.
I drive cars that are paid for.
I don’t carry credit card balances purchasing stuff I don’t need. (Don’t pay interest on anything that won’t give me a return)
I am running my business debt free. For now. Waiting and watching.......................................................

The less money I spend, and the more time, I spend TAKING CARE OF MYSELF (growing my own food and such), the less time I will spend working to make money (to buy stuff) that the government is going to steal from me to give to the monkeys too keep them alive.

We can free ourselves from the “system”, and refuse to participate in providing life support for the parasite class, to the greatest extent possible. (Become as self sufficient as possible).............................................................or not.

Or not is the easy choice.

They do and will use force to keep as many people in the system as possible......................................

Their lives depend on it.

I should clarify.........

They do and will use force, under the color of law, to keep as many people in the system..............

It is very important to understand the difference between illegal and wrong, malum prohibitum and malum in se, when making life decisions.

Interesting article by Pat Buchanan. I think it spells out, once again, how we will not vote our way out of this quagmire.

It is all about political power-plays. Neither a statesman nor a scholar exists in this government of hucksters and charlatans.

After watching some of the political debates in my state of residence, I am struck by the lack of passion, lack of anger at what has happened to America. They are all well groomed, soft spoken and hell bent on maintaining the status quo.

When we let con-men run the show don't be surprised when you get taken.

"Where were the folks with flags, muskets, and mutton-chops when Bush masked the cost of the Iraq and Afghan wars, year after year, by funding them through supplemental appropriations that fell outside the normal Pentagon budget?"

Mostly, they were gainfully employed. Their 401Ks were growing, and they were drawing down equity on their McMansions.

Now they are unemployed and broke, with a growing sense of dread about the country's future.

This creates a simple formula for
political revolt. They would not be hollering in protest if their mouths were stuffed with bratwurst, now would they?

To give him credit for a rare moment of lucidity, Jesse Jackson got it right years ago: "Everbody wants to cut; nobody wants to bleed."

Hell, a goodly chunk of the Tea Party has been people out screaming that the gummint can't cut their social security and medicare.

Losing one's job and life's savings DOES tend to concentrate the mind. Now that the pain is near-universal, we have sufficient numbers to be noticed. In the '90s, we were laughed at and told "They'll never let it go that far."

You are correct. With millions and millions feeding off the government teats how do you end this unconstitutional redistribution? Two things will allow it to happen:
1)Real judges not activists judges. We need to elect people who will appoint judges devoted to our constitution.
2)A collapse is coming! I hate it, I dread it, I fear it, but it's coming anyway. Sure there will be an effort by the freeloaders to continue to get their handouts (didn't most of the stimulus go to protect union jobs?). But there will be no way to get through this economic collapse and still pay the lazy to have babies and sit at home doing drugs. Welfare and many of the freebies will go away. Once this happens it may be possible to prevent it all from starting up again just as it was before the collapse. Elect politicians who believe in the constitution and hold their feet to the fire. It's now or never (actually since the collapse hasn't hit bottom it's technically "then or never").

"Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius." -Arnaud Amalric

It isn't a nice solution, but one side is going to end up doing it to the other at some point unless a lot of people smarten up in the very near future.

I read that July 4 Patriot story, and I can not shake the sense that there is more to the story than what is told. Personal enmities or mob entanglements or something, but that level of persecution doesn't just show up out of nowhere, even when a judge is frankly evil.

Thought experiment:

I steal 10K from you at gunpoint.

I get away with it.

You're pissed.

You hire me to steal 10K from someone else at gunpoint and give it to you to make you whole.

Aren't you just another armed robber, at least in the eyes of the second victim?
