It is an excellent overview/synthesis piece, which you can also pass to those whose certitude has been shaken over the past two years.
There is no way out but through.
And what comes through on the other side is not what entered the furnace.

Looks like it'll be a big bang indeed. I wonder what the Roman people thought when they realized the barbarians were at their doorstep?
If you don't want to read the entire article this excerpt sums it up nicely -
"The way to get elected in the U.S. since the 1930s has been to promise voters benefits while ignoring the long-term costs. The defense industry and their lobbyists benefit by creating phantom enemies around the globe and stirring up the masses through fear and propaganda. The other beneficiary has been the banking syndicate and their owned printing press called the Federal Reserve."
That is a very truthful ('til it hurts) article. I just wish the overly nationalistic/patriotic amongst us would finally "get it". Get what? - The war on terror, the war on drugs and the welfare state are all one in the SAME. They work hand in hand to destroy the economic soundness of the nation, they all manipulate the citizenry into giving up their rights/freedoms, and they all needlessly destroy good lives.
