Read it and think.

I wonder (as I often do) how Mr Berliner would like, in the name of desegregation, if he were forced to have a person/couple/family of another color and race living in his private property house?

Laws should be written and passed to restrict Gubbment, not people.

A business may be privately owned, but it is not private property........

A BUSINESS that relies on the PUBLIC to enter the premises in order to earn its money/profits has to allow ALL free men (public) to enter.

A manufacturing business that sells things/items at other locations does not fit the "open to the public" and therefore has the right to deny entrance to anyone they want. (they also have the right to hire anyone they want, or deny employment to whoever they want...

If you want to open a bar or something or that type, and want to deny a particular group or type of person entry, make it a members only club............

lol, WV= laysight, as in if I laysight on you in here again...

Sez who?

By what rule of reason and logic (as opposed to judicial fiat a la the Supremes' public accommodation cases) is what you say true?

"Private" property is distinguished by the absolute right of the owner to exclude anyone at anytime from any use of that property.

It's definitional, old socks.

So I ask again -- from where does the "has to" derive in your 2nd graf?

Concerned, You have failed to read/comprehend what was written.... Business property is NOT the same as private property. Hence the name BUSINESS property.

To have a business property one must apply for permits/ licenses, etc... in order to be able to operate that business. That BUSINESS must operate within certain parameters or it will be fined and/or shut down.

Are there some business laws that totally overstep constitutional bounds? yes, many of them, but there are some that do not, and bind the business owner to certain standards. If you dont like laws like that, don't own a business.

Your standards, if followed out to completion, are saying you have the right to do whatever you want on your own property.... I disagree.

Your property rights END at the soles of my feet. You can ask me to leave, etc... but MY RIGHTS do not dissappear once I step onto your property.

Do you have the right to force your maid to have sex with you just because she is on your property? Can I make your wife or daughter strip and let me take pics just because she is on my property? (sorry for the vulgarity, I am just trying to make a point)retoxin

Exactly, I can ask you to leave and that would NOT make me a racist. Your First Amendment rights effectively disappear on MY property. Everybody is a dictator when it comes to private property:-)

This is why hippie communes never lasted after the pot ran out.
