I have read that the organizers want participants with rifles to bring chamber flags to indicate their unloaded status.
Since some folks will forget, or don't have them, somebody should stop by a hardware store and buy a roll of thick, orange plastic weedwacher cord.
Cut off 20" of it, stick the two ends in the chamber and up the barrel. The protruding loop makes a very good "field expedient" unloaded chamber indicator.
