Did I Miss Anything?

Like, maybe, a Congressional declaration of war pursuant to Article I, section 8?

Arctic Patriot asks other questions, as well.

As if....

  1. No,you didn't miss anything. The FED.GOV still continues to ignore The Constitution as it sees fit.

  2. No voted on declaration of war = no government accountability.

    Why even have elections???

Our economy cannot withstand a dramatic spike in oil prices.

And, oh, BTW, Dear Leader Obama, welcome to the wonderful world of being just like "the previous administration", but worse. You are more culpable, as you pointed the finger over and over at Bush for "his wars". You claimed to know better. Where does that leave you now?

Just when I think I could not possibly hold someone in greater contempt, our president manages to shatter that notion and teach me about the true limits of my capacity to loathe.

    Thanks for the link, CA.

  3. Isn't this action, combined with Egypt, and Tunisia, and etc., establishing the idea that if you get a few thousand protesters into the capital, the UN will tell the current head of state to step down, and back it up with force?

So all we have to do is go to DC and they'll depose Obama? I'm sure we can get enough people up to Washington.

    I'm in.

  4. A government that does not abide by its own laws brings the validity of said government into question.

  5. Does it strike anyone here that Obama is acting in a manner contrary to that in which he normally acts? Yes, he is indeed late to the plate, but being there at all is amazing. He is emulating Bush I & II here, after all.

Knowing it is the wish of the Arab League and some of the African nations, it makes me wonder if he isn't responding to the desires of the Saudis he bowed to shortly after taking office, removing Gaddafi at their request. Or at least providing a great deal of assistance in producing that outcome. I can't seem to think of any other scenario that fits.

I don't know how strong the muslim presence is in Libyan society, but I will be quite surprised if it doesn't become much stronger once Gaddafi is deposed. That would certainly please BHO, and perhaps that is enough.

  6. anyone bothered to read the UN charter?? It was established to keep little strong men and despots from doing exactly what Kadaffy is doing..murdering unarmed protestors in the street to create fear...it was aimed at never having another Hitler, Mousilini or such from coming to power again. It is a 'coalition' of like minded states.
It is NOT a "war". The UN tried peaceful negotiations to end the bloodshed and address the grievances of the Libyan people. Kadaffy would have non of it because it would cost him power..and strongmen do not take lightly to that...remember HE started it all off by using live ammo as crowd control..

  7. there is no 'hue and cry' from Congress about the current action..as a member of the UN the US is bound to participate in any solution, peaceful if possible, to stop little strongmen like Kadaffy from doing just what he is doing. He started it off by using live ammo as crowd control and the protestors were unarmed and not looking for a military confrontation. The UN charter came about to stop men like Hitler, Mousillini and such from doing what is going on right now...we did not take unilateral action..France, Britain, US, Italy and others in the Security Council debate over what to do..and the answer was that he was not willing to negotiate an end but, rather 'kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out'..that's why we have a UN representative on the Cousel..'nuff said..get the facts and history straight before you start crying wolf and want to skin our
Congress because of ur personal indignitie. 'We sleep well because the world has hard men to protect us against men who would visit evil upon us'(paraphrased).

  8. Obongo, the War Monger. This is like hearing about the football score in the Harvard/Yale game. Yawn. Well, once again, they did whatever the fuck they wanted to, and once again, here we sit. I know! Let's write our Congresscritters and rally somewhere with our CLEAN rifles and point our fingers in the air, and DEMAND something be done! What's that? Fruit cup is now being served..............

  9. Sean (and others): This is not a challenge, it is a request for a plan of action...

What do you suggest we do?

We all see the same things (mostly).

None take that first step forward, most invoke the No Fort Sumter Rule as the reason. But our enemies are careful never to give a reason for a mass response. We see their plan.

Everyone decries typical political efforts, and as we've seen, even our new "Tea Party" Members of Congress are barely even trying to keep up the facade.

Our guys won't show at the steps of Congress, and darned few show at RTC events. Tea Partiers don't even bother to hold their rallies unless the weather is nice.

SEIU will show up whenever they are ordered.

What should we do right now? I invite anyone to make suggestions.

Should we all just keep our heads down until the economy collapses? Should we all schedule to meet at our State Houses on a given date in full kit? (Fewer than a dozen would show across the entire country).

Where do we go from where we are?

Actually, what impresses me are the numbers of people I see on gun-related sites who are cheering the concept.

Kinda eats into their credibility re: whining about other parts of the Constitution getting buttboinked.

  12. Kerodin,
I've written many comments on your new blog, not one was posted!

In answer to your question to Sean (and others), I have been trying to ask the same question you just posed. I think we all see the same picture you do. I am not willing to don my 782 gear and march on the statehouse (7 hours from here), just to go down in flames with 5 others on the 6 o'clock news.

No one gives a flying fuck anymore about anything, none of my local 'patriot' buddies are willing to give up an hour of their day to go shoot or practice. They still waste their money on stupid toys and refuse to see how bad it really has become. They tell me things aren't bad enough yet to get too concerned, the Repubs are still working on a comeback and will get things turned around. No shit, that was a conversation from noon today!!

So what do we do??? I am resigned to let it all collapse and take care of me in my AO in Wyoming. Not much else to do, even my buddies aren't worth wasting ammo with. Apathy has done us in and everyone still hopes the TV won't go down anytime soon. I think we will have to look out for ourselves, not enough care to do anything but put their shackles on themselves, willingly. I wish it weren't like this, but facts just don't look good any other way. Nobody cares anymore.
And Sean, you're welcome out in my AO.

  16. 0321,

I'm sorry about any posts that haven't made it - I post everything that comes in, I don't screen much. I honestly haven't seen a single thing. It is entirely possible I am doing something wrong.

That said, I think you are right - most people who have a clue are tired of trying. No one else cares or wants to hear it.

I think the average NRA Republican will call us radicals sooner than the folks at PETA & SEIU this day.
