Ruth Ginsburg looked practically crumpled over during the SOTU. I doubt she will make it thru the year which means the Great Oz will be able to appoint a replacement.
Ultimately, the problem is one we as a people permitted. We have allowed bad people to occupy the controls of society and to redefine the parameters in which we must live.
What they claim as "...legitimate political differences..." most of us consider infringements and Treason. But it is the neglect of We the People that have allowed them to get away with it, for generations.
SCOTUS can be impeached, if we insist that the Constitution be interpreted properly. The power is ours to impose. But we have a vast number of Citizens who either agree, or don't care enough to tar and feather anyone, much less act like an Egyptian...
Until the system collapses under its own wretched weight, the Status Quo will obtain.
