Saw a little news segment on volunter greeters for returning service members rotating stateside from Afghanistan and Iraq. Our troops are overwhelmed with emotion to the point of tears and quavering voices at the love and respect they are shown by ordinary people "taking time out of their lives" to wave a little flag or shake a hand, or a litle child to hug a BDU-clad leg. Contrast that with Congress' plan to make service members responsible for more of their insurance costs. Who loves ya, baby? Whose side of the fence ya gonna come down on when the stuff hits the fan?
We are everywhere. III
