Sorry, Gail

Alvie considers your recent column, as cited at WoG, worthy only of contempt.

Your days as a primary opinion-shaper are over, ma'am.

Consider knitting.

It's calming, and will help ease the transition from NYT somebody to just another lonely, post-menopausal drone.

Good luck with that osteoporosis.

  1. As she said repeatedly throughout her "article" and in closing, there are crazy people in every society.
As she should know and realize the same about herself. Sounds like she writes from experience.
What a pack of lies, half-lies, half-thruths, conflation, and not remembering what our rights, freedoms and responsibilities are.

  3. I would be glad to help build a Christian community center in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia or Yemen...

Oh, wait a minute, that would be illegal in those countries. So they can export their ideas and religions, but we can't?

I think we should treat it like free trade. If we can sell in your county, you can sell in ours.....

May be, just, may be, the book burning, is just an expression of frustration, about not being able to build that community center in Saudi Arabia.

  4. Wow, incredible skills of persuasion. Her argument is... WELL THEY ARE CRAZY! *eye-roll* That's one of the worst written articles I've ever read.

  5. Exercising your rights, even the ones still guaranteed by "existing laws," is "crazy."
    How Soviet.
Let her go to a country where the Koran is the bible and also the law of the land and call people marching against infidels as they brandish knives, swords and AK-47s, and write in one of their papers that THEY are "crazy."
