  1. Well, I would award him a cone of shame, but 1) I don't think I have one big enough. 2) I don't want to tarnish the award-seriously this is many steps above his level.

  2. If dude wanted to wear the uniform he could've taken his fat ass down to the nearest recruitment office. I'm sure they'd be more than accomodating in his desire to play soldier or something.(Did you see that dude's gut?!)

I was reading later posts in that thread you linked and yeah, he needs to be held accountable. If he'd claimed to be a 20 star militia general he could just get away with being simply fucking stupid.

  3. Pete,

I couldn't find an email link for you so I will leave you a link in this comment box. I was wondering if you had seen this story? I built a post around it at my blog, everydaysurvivalguy.com. You can find it here http://everydaysurvivalguy.com/feds-vs-states/

Feel free to jump in...I would be interested to see what you make of it!

  4. "Wide-Load" and "Over-Load" are signs that belong on his back as well as "Kick me back to Camp Casey" sign. Some of the linked thread indicates that this may be the same individual that was recently released from Federal custody.

Kudos to the off-duty NCO who confronted this dirtbag (and took away the offending insignia without a fight!). No Unit or Branch would accept this individual, even if he managed to get through Basic without getting caught crying and wetting his pants while botching his own suicide.

    Cheers.

  5. It was obvious this guy was a poser, the fact that no one caught this already is the real story. Anyways, I would let this guy go after taking away his car pass, this guy would be easy to spot out and point and laugh at.
I will never understand why people want to claim they were in Robot Forces, from everything I hear about it, no one should want to have been in it.

  6. All though I myself have never served in any branch of the military, I would never claim honor that is not due. This gentleman should have been punched in the nose. At least for starters.

  7. A PX hero, I've dealt with them before, but not as bad as this one.

In this guy's case, how did he think he was going to pass with that physical appearance?

  8. Hell's bells, he looks like he's carrying more weight than me (and I know damn well I'm a little wide-loaded myself).

*sigh* Sad, really. I mean, it's one thing to have a little Walter Mitty fantasy now and then. It's another to actually wear that stuff in public.

  9. Anon 1:03, as a former member of "Robot Forces", let me assure you there were, and continue to be times, when I wish I were not associated with it. However, from everything you continue to hear about it, it is not for those short of courage. Your personal mileage may vary. But let him who puts his armor on not boast as he who takes it off. Oh, when I was a Plt. Sgt., I preferred and promoted men who could think.

  10. Here's an even better one:

Follow the several links at the bottom for the whole story.

I knew this guy twenty years ago when he was masquerading as, no lie, a Greek Orthodox bishop. Many of us suspected he was a fraud, but were unable to prove anything. Lemmen is very, very good at what he does, and doesn't make the sort of dork mistakes that got Clark caught.

As has been suggested of Clark, Lemmen was released from custody earlier this year, and if he hasn't changed his ways he's already eyeballs-deep in another Long Con. Remember that face and don't be his next victim.

Yes, I understand that the people who go into the Robot Forces are brave, but they are treated as the most expendable by our government. The people I know that have been in it were scarred from it and it was clear that going in means a complete denial of self. And given that, it seems that most of the atrocities commited during wars throught history were from the "special" forces.
