Do You Understand Yet?

"Look at the Gulf oil spill, that's what happens when we let corporations just do their own thing without any accountability. We can't allow that to happen with the Internet. We won't allow it."

An FCC staffer, quoted here.

Limits on central government power such as those contained in Articles I and II of the Constitution mean nothing.

They will do whatever they want, whenever they want.

Only two paths forward - fight or submit.

Choose wisely.

  2. Fight or submit?

We've already submitted, that's why they are getting away with it now.

The Fedzilla is full tilt. We should have done something a long time ago.

I'd sure like to know the Threeper Keeper game plan, because from where I sit the two minute warning just sounded and we are 15 points down.

  3. Pete, et al:

A little bit about my household that some of you guys and gals might relate to:

I guess that now would be about as good of a time as any to say that lately my Ol' Lady has been reading a lot of the sites that I frequent. She is scared. Not in the "rabbit people" kinda way, but in the sad way of coming to the realization that all of that firearms training that we have done is actually going to have to be used in a combat situation, and not just for self-defense in an emergency scenario. Fifteen years ago, she “pooh-poohed” me when I told her of this impending social, economic, and political collapse.

Well, I guess I was early to the party, but now she knows that the fecal matter is dead on course for the oscillating device. This article would only buttress that reality. (She has not seen this yet.)

After reading one of William Grigg’s latest articles, she said, “They really DO want a war, don’t they?”

Well, I could go on forever, but the enemy does not need ta fear us guys as much as it needs to fear a
woman whose Constitution has been scorned. Especially when she can put 5 rounds in a MOA out
to a very respectable distance. We’re old, but we ain’t invalids.

Oh, the Constitution may be one thing, but if ya mess with her internet? God Himself couldn’t help you. :D

  5. I think Jim nailed it. Pretty much everyone already agreed to submit. Simple decision, really, and it's hard to blame them. Stand up to the Feds, and you almost certainly do it alone. That makes you a target, and you get to feel their wrath. Therefore, resistance, on an individual level, is a stupid decision. Better to get along and go along.

Unfortunately, the smart decision for the individual (do nothing) is ultimately a disaster for everyone. Until there is a truly *massive* resistance, there can never be any effective resistance.

It's just the whole "United we stand, divided we fall" and "We must hang together or we will surely hang separately" thing. The citizens were divided, and thus they fell.

  6. I understand.

    The question is: Do they?

    Can't stop the signal.
