Sparklies Of Death

Some musings on priorities for your consideration.

If you think that there is a solution coming on any front other than self-reliance and local action, you are most probably mistaken.

And some mistakes leave little room for recovery.

Think about it.

  1. Good post. All that matters now is planning and preparation. Letter writing, Tea Party rallys, and running for local office are just empty gestures equivalent to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. We're toast. I give us eighteen months at the outset.

  2. I - as often - agree with him to a point.

The thing about these "sparklies" is that *TO US* they're just another in a long train of abuses and usurpations -- this is true.

But to OTHERS - those who still slumber - they're *NOT*!

Maybe someone who reads this was born AWARE -- sprung into Manhood with their understanding of the VERY REAL AND IMMINENT threat to everything we hold dear -- but MOST of us were not.

MOST of us had a period where we became increasingly aware that "SOMEthing just is NOT RIGHT!!" -- usually followed by some "trigger" event, an "epiphany" of sorts -- which made them look around and go "O-M-F-G! When did *THIS* happen!!"

Should anyone care, for me it was a couple of things: First, the lives of my entire family were threatened -- with great specificity -- by someone with both skilled enough to sneak into my house undetected and crazy enough to follow through with what he promised to do when we awoke to find him standing at the foot of our bed. On the bright side, he DID promise to "wake [us] up and say goodbye before [he] blow[s our] brains out."

I went straight to buy a pistol, and found a 10-day "waiting period" which the state was stretching into more like a MONTH -- but the nice young "african-american" gentleman in the parking lot was more than happy to sell me any one of several pistols from the trunk of his car.

Since I anticipated the very possible need to call police to remove a body from my home -- and thus couldn't take the risk of buying a gun that might have a little too much "history" -- this did a rather thorough job of opening my eyes about "Gun Control."

Other experiences brought me HERE -- but I hope I've made my point...

Too many people are "willfully ignorant" of the tyranny we currently bear, because it just doesn't AFFECT them in a way that they notice!

$5 gas? THAT will get their attention! You'd be AMAZED at the number of "second-amendment" converts I've made in the last few months with "Gunwalker." Even people who had learned to "tune me out" over the years found it hard to do so when -- CAREFULLY -- presented with irrefutable PROOF of the treason our would-be-Masters have committed there!

Likewise, when presented with the inarguable evidence of our Banana-republic kleptocracy -- the blatant collusion and conspiracy to rob them of their life-savings to benefit the Banksters and their pet pols -- even more have awakened!

And *ALL* of them would still be snoring if it weren't for my attention to those "sparklies."

In sum, I've managed to recruit a number of folks to "FreeFor", and planted many more seeds which I am sure will germinate when things REALLY start breaking down. I've already had several calls from reluctant converts who managed to put "2 and 2 together" when they saw things they'd never have noticed if not for my previous "evangelism", and I know there will be many more as time continues to pass...

Bottom line to me is that -- as we're taught in The Good Book -- "temperance in all things!!"

We can CERTAINLY get too tied up in the "sparklies", but we can ALSO get too dug into our preps and miss important clues, or even MORE important opportunities to turn sheep into sheepdogs!

    Just my $0.20 (inflation)...

  3. UBLs' death is a sparklie that will garner Obongo a brief uptick in the polls, especially since he found it neccessary to grab a mike at after 11pm and gorge himself on the glory. Look and him talking, and tell me you don't see a moron masturbating in his own hash. What is coming down the mountain, will make his supposed triumph look like a pathetic joke.

  4. It's my opinion that the messenger IS an important component of the message, so I have to ask: Of what value will "Kerodin" be in the coming ruckus? He is a prohibited person, so he (allegedly) doesn't own guns, therefore has NOT spent the last few years practicing the CQB tactics that he espouses.

I've never met the guy, but on the one occasion where I posted on his blog to ask a question, he wasn't able to stay on topic, answer direct questions, or refrain from misdirection and ad hominem. So, I think that the guy is a squirrel, and that makes me wonder how much of his screed is his heartfelt beliefs, and how much is at the direction of people in the Fed.gov who have the ability to squeeze him. Does he have the character to resist narking on his fellow threepers?

How many times has he been searched for guns? Judging from the mouth-frothing nature of his published opinions, I can't imagine that the Just-us system has completely ignored him all this time.

I don't know about this guy, but the more I read, the creepier he gets.

    Yes.

I wish some of our freefor blog hosts would stop giving him the attention he so obviously craves, and his possible agent provocateur seethings an outlet.

  6. Dedicated Dad: I commend you for your efforts to help others understand. You are willing to invest effort of a sort that I am not, and I suspect you will be rewarded properly for it in whatever place we visit after life on Earth.

I take more of a Darwinian position in these moments nearing implosion. I am not snaguine that folks who can not connect the dots for themselves on This Side will be worth anything on the Other Side.

That said - I can not claim my way is better. I genuinely respect what you (and several others in our community) do to help others along.

  7. "If you are spending valuable time and energy on the minutia of any shenanigans from Washington, rather than working as hard as possible to prep - you will lose."

Could not agree more. Since I'm a bit of a Sci-Fi nut, it kind of reminds be of the Foundation Series by Asimov, there was no stopping the collapse of the Galactic Empire, just survival and keeping knowledge alive.

Survival for you and your tribe has to be the number one goal, but really being prepared should just be the rational reaction to the obvious.

Good Luck everyone, hope you all survive the "Die Off"

  8. I didn't get what most people took from his post.

    The theme I caught was:

    We're screwed.

Being informed is good, but no longer a priority.

It seemed like a call to un-ass the computer chair, and do something that matters, to me.

    That's just me though.
