The Middle Class Problem

Read this Human Events essay first, please.

Then follow where Fran Porretto goes with it.

Those who see the events of the last several years (or several decades?) as the products of mere incompetence need to get more facts and think harder.

Especially when contemplating the brave new future that has been brought to us.

Your children and grandchildren will be asking if you knew, or at least could have known, what was done to them, as well as what you did to stop it.

Got good answers?

Happy May Day.

  1. Or, the worst case could come true-

Rather than asking "why didn't you resist what was happening?", they might say, with scorn, "why did you ever fight what we all know to be what is best for us?"

I guess one is much worse than the other.

As in this chilling quote from history...

"When an opponent declares, "I will not come over to your side," I calmly say, "Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community."

Send a chill down your spine? Nausea, perhaps?
    It did mine.

    What if...what if...

What if the best resistance we could muster involved raising a generation of children with the stones to say, quietly but in deadly seriousness, "no". "I will not".

What if the purpose of our generation is to raise up the generation who will resist? What if our children's children will be the ones?

Are we prepared for that? Are we preparing them?

What if...resistance right here, right now, had nothing at all to do with guns and bombs and riots and protests?

What if resistance, right now was the noble but thankless act of raising children with backbone and a thirst for true liberty?

Like I've said, Resist...win...by any means necessary.

    Any.

Including the thankless task of parenting.

Sorry, CA, I've almost written a post in your comments section. Wouldn't be the first time... ;-)

    Resist.

  2. God only knows when they'll execute their "final" solution.

  3. What can be done for children, even by the absolutely enslaved, is to teach them the truth of things.

We can do much better than this.

We can show the "ruling classes" who actually owns a thing. Frank Herbert wrote something like "He who can destroy a thing controls it" and this can be swiftly made into "there is nothing that they claim to own that is safe" by free men who know that things only have value when respect for value/property exists across all classes of men. This starts with ownership of your own body, ownership of the products of planning/effort/labor and honoring contracts with others.

If we claim these wealthy elite as our own, as we claim our poor, they are subject to similar loyalty and judgement. They don't have the right to become "stateless men as gods" who command from secure bunkers in remote unknown places. We will rule ourselves fairly, in accordance with the basic principals of free men who associate voluntarily.

Imho, States should be the greatest governmental power, with their political and economic power coming up from the Counties, while Cities and Towns are relatively inconsequential and competing for citizens to occupy them. The States that first dismantle Federal attachments to their economy and gain Governor control of internal military forces will succeed best in the coming rough times.

    Let's Win.

    Cheers.

  4. "Collectivism finds its worst enemy among a large body of people whose fortunes are tied to the general health of the economy, and have enough votes to translate resistance into electoral defeat for social engineers.

In other words, the middle class.
    "

That analysis is flat backwards. If middle class votes worked that way, then no majority rule society that ever once had a strong middle class would vote itself entitlements until it was bankrupt.

The truth is the broad majority wants a republic, which decays into democracy, which decays into socialism, which decays into fascism/communism, which collapses.

  5. After reading the Human Events article and the amplification by Fran, I see the future. You can see it too. Just scroll up the the "CHILDREN OF MEN" video clip and the Garden Serf commentary.
The guy who crashed his plane into the IRS building in Austin,TX got it. No more talking, people. Time is slipping away and Barry's plans are in place. Get ready and get networked.

  8. Good article, reminds me of CS Lewis:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. 9. We have a 17-year old 'only-child' - a daughter - who is about to graduate from home-school High School.

We decided to home school before she was born and we have often agreed over the years that "the home-schoolers" will likely be in the forefront of the re-birth of Liberty in this country.

I dearly hope so. Please check out these books for you and your home-school students (we began studying them together when our daughter was in 7th grade): http://www.chaostan.com/books.html

If interested, I have written much more 'practicable' 12-week study guides (syllabus, extra-vocabulary, and Study-sheets which are also Quizes) for 7 of the 11 books, by-the-way.
