    An option which may suit some folks better:

    "Tails" (The Amnesiac Incognito Live System) boots from a live cd, leaves no trace on the host computer, and routes all internet traffic through Tor.

    At the very least install TOR and run it as a exit relay. This provides other folks anonymity when they need it and provides you 'plausible deniability'.

    TOR and the rest of the 'Darknet' is invaluable to the cause.
