  1. Good stuff. Earlier tonight I posted the link to that ZH piece in a comment at Sipsey Street. Understand that the Republican's duplicity in this budget fraud can be mathematically quantified - they did .009% of what they claimed they did.

There is nothing but deception and corruption in DC. WE are the only hope this country has, and all is lost unless we actually do something about the mess...

  2. It's that "actually doing something" that's the bitch.

Reminding folks of their history, and providing information will open the eyes of many. Publicly petitioning and extracting election promises- and having no effect- is another. It took about 10 years for loyal british subjects to turn into colonial revolutionaries. How far along are we?

Paging Mr Henry, Mr Jefferson, Mr Paine!

  5. Stockman is an ass, as is the commentator. The answer will never be "increasing revenue" (increasing taxes). It must be "stopping spending". There is no way to "increase revenue" enough to get us out of the debt our government has acquired - both parties having been at fault, but Obama and the Democrats obscenely so.

The 38 billion that Boner tried to make us think he had "wrested from the jaws" of the Democrats turns out, per the CBO, to be approx. 323 million in actual spending decreases. That's about 1/15 of one days debt. In other words, we haven't really decreased spending at all, let alone stopped it. I hope Denninger wasn't indicating he was impressed by Stockman, other than Stockman admitting that we are in serious trouble. Like, _duh_.
