Which Way Are You Facing? - County Real Estate Tax Fraud Edition

Alvie synthesizes this Denninger piece with Bracken's Civil War 2 battlespace polygon.

Read and think, especially about his final point.

What are you willing to do about it?

  1. When it comes to real estate, taxes, employment, the economy and the easy-to-understand commentary on how all that interacts, Charles Hugh Smith has the best track record I've seen on the net over the last 7 years. If you want to stay a year or more ahead of the curve, pay him a visit.

Regarding the cube, I'm skeptical that race will be a such a strong factor for people (who are under age 30 today) in their future economic interactions either during a long depression or a civil war. This isn't America of 1860 or 1960. Today's demographics are different from 1980 for that matter. Will such attitudes still influence some areas? Sure. But, some very nasty hierarchies often still develop in small homogeneous groups in isolated areas. Even "tribes" can develop their own caste systems and royal families. We'll see how well such groups survive who isolate themselves and can't play well with others...

Let's remember to think outside the box: future necessity will make for some interesting partnerships no matter the scenario. In the meantime, we have to examine hypotheses that are outside of what we were comfortably accustomed to while growing up, ie, sometimes grandpa got it right and sometimes he got it wrong.
