We Are The Men Of Our Times

TL Davis states the issues.

Read it all, and affirm your choices.

Forward.

  1. Yes, that about sums things up.

We are on our own. Despised, ridiculed and not fully understood. If you stand for liberty in modern day America you are an enemy of the state.

"WE ARE THE MEN OF OUR TIMES." Where are those who will fight with us?

    Resist!

  2. The problem, as I see it, is that ultimately, someone still has to take the final step and either fire that first shot himself, or issue an open call to arms. The forces of tyranny won't ever give a clear declaration of war - they don't have to. They simply grind inexorably on.

So that means someone on the liberty side has to shoot first, or at least make an open call for it. Until the new minutemen assmeble at the new Lexinton and Concord and refuse to stand aside, it's all simply sound and fury signifying nothing. It's the endless chorus of: "Sooner or later we'll have to....."

I get it. No one wants to be the first one to volunteer to get crushed by Leviathan. There are plenty of people who know what they'd like our future to be, but have no clear idea how to get there. Taking on the system seems futile and suicidal to them. They might well respond to a call for action, but they aren't going to issue it.

The colonists who wished to be free had strong and clear leaders. There was clear line - at this point, we fight, regardless of who starts it. We have crickets chirping.

  3. To follow my earlier comment, someone (hopefully with leadership ability) will have to step up and give the Malcolm Wallace "we don't have to beat them, just fight them" speech. As to why few, if any, will, well....look at what happened to him.

Or consider the scene between Robert the Bruce and his father - it's always easier to decide to do nothing but talk, rather than charge in to the fight. Much less risky, and sure, tyranny grates on us, but ultimately, it probably hurts less than trying to throw it off. That's what Leviathan counts on.

  4. Jimmy:

The issue will be raised not by bold leaders, but by single actors, who might have a confederate nearby.

    They will be scared shit.

They will know they are going to die very soon, if they are lucky.

They will also know that if they are unlucky, they will be tortured, break under interrogation, and then be killed.

They will know that their families and associates will face the same, because of what they will do.

    They will, nonetheless, act.

At a time, place, and with tactics of their own choosing.

    Resist.

Unless there's someone waiting in the wings to organize it all, Leviathan wins in a walk. Pinpricks won't do enough. Easier and more sensible to just commit suicide - and to some extent, that's a useful form of resistance.

Or, copy the Hugenots, and simply leave, en masse. That one screwed France for a good while.

  6. Amen, on the objective time place and tactics.

RESIST, I don't know who posted that word first, AP perhaps, but I like it kind of sets the pace.

  7. How utterly bleak a prospect you're all buying into.

More bleak even than the teotwawki we read so much about.

Do you think that leviathan can survive and thrive an economic collapse/catastrophic natural disaster better than we preppers? They cannot just grind on inexorably, winning by sheer inertia if the whole system collapses, as we here our selves predict and expect.

Cheer up. Freedom to do for ourselves as best we may under terrible conditions is just around the corner... one way or another.

And who says that it is inevitable that those who resist in a kinetic way are automatically toast? Whatever happened to opsec, training, planning, prepping, e & e, and all the other topics we should be studying and applying?

    I'm sick of the defeatism.

Resist! the urge toward despair... or you've lost before you have even begun.
