From Gates of Vienna:
Below is the speech given by Geert Wilders on the opening day of his new trial on “hate speech” charges in Amsterdam. Many thanks to Vlaamse Leeuwin for the translation:
The lights are going out all over Europe. All over the continent where our culture flourished and where man created freedom, prosperity and civilization. The foundation of the West is under attack everywhere.
All over Europe the elites are acting as the protectors of an ideology that has been bent on destroying us for fourteen centuries. An ideology that has sprung from the desert and that can produce only deserts because it does not give people freedom. The Islamic Mozart, the Islamic Gerard Reve [a Dutch author], the Islamic Bill Gates; they do not exist because without freedom there is no creativity. The ideology of Islam is especially noted for killing and oppression and can only produce societies that are backward and impoverished. Surprisingly, the elites do not want to hear any criticism of this ideology.
My trial is not an isolated incident. Only fools believe it is. All over Europe multicultural elites are waging total war against their populations. Their goal is to continue the strategy of mass immigration, which will ultimately result in an Islamic Europe — a Europe without freedom: Eurabia.
The lights are going out all over Europe. Anyone who thinks or speaks individually is at risk. Freedom-loving citizens who criticize Islam, or even merely suggest that there is a relationship between Islam and crime or honour killing, must suffer, and are threatened or criminalized. Those who speak the truth are in danger.
The lights are going out all over Europe. Everywhere the Orwellian thought police are at work, on the lookout for thought crimes everywhere, casting the populace back within the confines where it is allowed to think.
This trial is not about me. It is about something much greater. Freedom of speech is not the property of those who happen to belong to the elites of a country. It is an inalienable right, the birthright of our people. For centuries battles have been fought for it, and now it is being sacrificed to please a totalitarian ideology.
Future generations will look back at this trial and wonder who was right. Who defended freedom and who wanted to get rid of it.
The lights are going out all over Europe. Our freedom is being restricted everywhere, so I repeat what I said here last year:
It is not only the privilege, but also the duty of free people — and hence also my duty as a member of the Dutch Parliament — to speak out against any ideology that threatens freedom. Hence it is a right and a duty to speak the truth about the evil ideology that is called Islam. I hope that freedom of speech will emerge triumphant from this trial. I hope not only that I shall be acquitted, but especially that freedom of speech will continue to exist in the Netherlands and in Europe.
Speech and association are even more fundamental freedoms than the RTKABA.
We will need to fight to the death.
On this continent.
In our time.
Stand ready.
Resist.
I don't see why Islam is a defendant in his complaint; Islam is not prosecuting Wilders, the Dutch government is. Free speech is what free men do, and it is irrelevant whether there are barbarians at the gates. Being a politician, Geert probably has the mistaken idea the Dutch government is somehow legitimate or something. Silly man. If the government decides to kidnap him and put him in a cage for his speech, would he peacefully submit to it? And then would he also get on a train to an extermination camp?
ReplyDeleteSir Edward Grey haunts us still...God have mercy.
ReplyDelete"The ideology of Islam is especially noted for killing and oppression and can only produce societies that are backward and impoverished. Surprisingly, the elites do not want to hear any criticism of this ideology."
ReplyDeleteThe elites live very, very well in Islamic countries. Better than in the West in a lot of cases. They won't suffer - only the rank and file types do. Islam is *very* attractive to the elites.
Mr. Wilders sounds like a man who has just committed to a fight he knows he cannot win alone, but one that he can no longer run from.
ReplyDeleteHe sounds defeated in a way, but victorious at the same time. He has the chance here to make the case not only against creeping sharia, but for free speech.
I can't help but think he'll likely get crushed.
Geert Wilders is a hero. He is living resistance.
Tomorrow I will finish reading Beowulf to my children. Men like this make me hope that there are yet Beowulfs alive today.
GOV is right when they say we are in a new phase of a very old war.
#%&@.
We need men who will look at the onrushing hordes, spit on their hands, and raise the spear once more.
These animals want my sons and daughters, and I don't intend to hand them over.
If we lose the ability to identify a threat for what it is, we suffer a major blow, whether that enemy is tyranny at the hand of government, or tyranny at the hands of the followers of the moon-god and his pedophile prophet.
They're not taking me alive.

Anon: word.
ReplyDelete"The Lights are Going out..." Say, that would be Endarkenment.
The man is standing up to one of the most evil systems ever, and is speaking the unvarnished truth, putting his and his families in danger of death, and some will still criticize him for his veracity. I hope I have half his courage and resolve. Death to Islam. III.
ReplyDeleteOur Founders knew it well.
ReplyDeleteBelief, and the ability to express one's beliefs as well as communicate them to others through speech, and to assemble and petition for acceptance of such beliefs were at the top of the list of things government was not supposed to infringe.
Next came the right to defend one's beliefs via the use of force.
These were cornerstones of our system, not mere afterthoughts.
It is also interesting to note that much of our system was brought to the New World by the Dutch.
A century of dumbed-down education at the lower levels and absolute distortion of truth at the higher levels has brought us to this.

Is it time for the pigs to rot in hell yet? Or does ANYONE believe it is someone OTHER THAN the pigs who came for Mr. Wilders and who will come for us?
ReplyDeleteOr does anyone believe the filthy maggot pigs will actually HONOR their oath of office to "...preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution..."?
Good point Anon 4:38, one wonders what he will do. I suppose we'll see another who espouses from the jail cell and grows because of it, but it's my opinion that it's far too late for such pacifist activities, if there ever was a place for them.
ReplyDeleteThe Dutch, French, and the rest of Europe will have to remove Muslims from their midst and that will prompt screams of "NAZIsm" and the like, so it remains to be seen if European men still have a spine or not. If not, then they'll get what they deserve.
As I've mentioned before, my concern is the removal of the 18 Mosques located in South Carolina right now, the prohibition of any others, and the expulsion of Muslims as well.
Progressive/fascists will crawl out of the woodwork when that begins.
I don't understand how the Koran's "The trees and the stones will cry out `O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him'" fails to be hate speech. It's not like Christians who no longer practice the Old Testament punishments. Islamic leaders -- WORLD LEADERS -- are quoting this stuff every day on TV. "Prepare for war with Israel." The 12th Imam can't arrive on Earth and create paradise until all the Jews are dead.
ReplyDeleteIf that is not evil, then I don't understand the concept.

ReplyDeleteIslam is being used by the elite to batter us down. The elite seem to imagine that they can contain Islam...apparently a majority of them believed that nonsense they teach in the Ivy league that Islam is a Religion of Peace.
Islam is a militaristic expansionist form of totalitarian government that will not rest until all of us are under it's boot.
Cowboys and Muslims?
ReplyDeleteIt's almost time.

ReplyDeleteThe Associated Press sounds disappointed that some provisions of the PATRIOT Act didn't get renewal approval, due to a parliamentary error.
They shouldn't worry; the government won't let it stop them from doing it anyway.
"Cowboys and Muslims," socialists and those who believe, like much of Germany after 1938, that we must follow every bad law or be guilty of being unpatriotic. "Sure, I like my secretly-Jewish co-worker and everything, but the law is the law..." I have to agree that when a couple of generations think fighting for freedom involves only the Internet, not the bayonet, they really have no understanding of how desperate things can get.
ReplyDeleteI have looked the horrors of human nature square in the face and not flinched. I can name no other animal that kills its own kind without provocation, and enjoys it.
