Human beings cannot exist in an anarchy. Of course, some of them would, but it would truly be survival of the fittest, and we would be reduced to the level of animals. There must be some rules, some truth, some law. It is in maintaining the balance of these things that we become civilized. There will never be this "truly free society" unless you sink to the level of the crug cartels in Mexico.
I imagine many would cringe at such a thought. As a husband and father of six children, I love it.
Instead, publicly schooled children are being taught (indoctrinated) that this would be horrible, ensuring that children schooled in real freedom will forever be outcasts, if not criminals.
Freedom is scary, huh?
Linked @ AP (with a bit of personal opinion, as usual).
Every reader of WRS should familiarize themselves with the story of Steve Kubby.
What he and his wife were put through at the hands of the legal system is shameful if you believe in freedom.
His story is an example of how far the cops, judges, prosecutors and all will go to hold onto power....even after we the people have spoken, voted and made out intentions clear.
If they can treat cannabis patients and activists like they treated the Kubby's I shudder to think what they have in store for gun owners.
Straight out of libertarian L. Neil Smith's "The Probability Broach." A parallel existence in which the freedom-loving Americans in their new country defeated George Washington as he sought to put down the Whiskey [Tax] Rebellion and hanged him as a traitor. A strong central government was never established, everyone is armed, crime is low because of that and immediate social and financial penalties, and no one is poor or oppressed. Eventually, government strong-arm tactics around the world are refused the same way.
This is very confusingly written, but it sounds like if someone makes a Freedom of Information Act request to the federal government, the request is forwarded to Janet Napolitano's office so it can gather information on THEM. The Republicans are looking into it, and other abuses of the Obama administration, supposedly.
Instead, if you make a Freedom of Information Act request to the federal government, Janet Napolitano's office now knows your name.
Read F. Paul Wilson's LaNague Federation Series, yes they are Science Fiction. Vol 1, "An Enemy of the State" was written back in 1980 and is an amazing picture of current events. Vol 3, "Healer" depicts a free society such as mentioned in St. Clair's article. I suspect that Vol. 2, "Wheels within Wheels" will not be terribly relevant to most (good book tho).
Well, not really. Anger, testosterone and a failure to do any research before striking. Threatening and humiliating the residents and threatening to shoot their dogs for simply barking and being annoying.
And they're amazed and confused by our "line in the sand" rhetoric.
That photo is so WRONG... unless the front-sight post folds down so it doesn't interfere with the holosight, and I see by the closeup that it does. Hee hee. I wish my granddaughter were like this girl.
It's a problem only for some, because it scares them.
ReplyDeleteWorks for me. There are no caveats either.
ReplyDeleteThat is good!
