Free Forces S2

We're open, even though we are still under construction.

Volunteers: Take a look at the resources in the right margin of the Free ForcesS2 site. Choose one of them as your daily read; if you have suggestions as to additions, please send them to freefors2@gmail.com.

Once you have your selection and have advised us of same via email, scan your periodical at least twice in a 24-hour period, looking for stories of significance in the following categories:

- African Economics and Politics
- Domestic (US and Canadian) Economy and Politics
- Domestic Space Activities
- Eurasian Economics and Politics
- Foreign Military Issues
- Foreign Space Activities
- Pan Asian Economics and Politics
- South/Central American and Mexican Economics and Politics
- Terrorism, with an emphasis on Islamic terror
- US Freedom Issues
- US Military Issues
- US/Foreign Relations
- World Energy Issues
- World Freedom Issues
- World Health Issues

Two key guidelines:

- Look for new info: Repetition of stories and fact sets already in the media doesn't really help anyone. Fresh info -- and even more importantly, fresh stories -- are a huge help to all.

- "What" and "Why Should I Care?": As you write up your synopsis, remember to have two issues addressed. First is a brief fact summary, letting the reader decide whether this story is worth the time. Second is the answer to the eternal question "So what?" -- tell the reader why the story matters. Max length of a good synopsis is three sentences; strive for less while still hitting these marks, always. Good examples are found in the Gates of Vienna daily updates.

Visitors:  Along with being patient while we spin up, please use the same freefors2@gmail.com email address to give us new resources for monitoring and constructive feedback. For now, the best way to review our work is to click in the right margin on the topics that interest you. We'll work on a more user-friendly access method as we evolve.

Forward.

  1. "Terrorism, with an emphasis on Islamic terror"

Why would you want an emphasis on Islamic terror? Does an Islamic terrorist act get you any more dead than, say, Norwegian terrorism? Are you going to accept news summaries that say 'today, no terror by Islam was reported, worldwide'?

I would hope that you want to produce ground truth, rather than an echo chamber amplifying whatever biases the reporters bring to their reporting. Consider this: "Count of airplane crash into buildings events by Islam: one, 9/11. Count of airplane crash into buildings events by American tax protestors: one, Joe Stack. Therefore, the American anti-tax community is just as upset by the IRS as the Islamic community is by the American occupation of the Middle East." Does this statement accurately summarize the beliefs of tens of millions of people? Please consider getting some informal consulting about bias in journalism, so you don't support anyone's Big Lie.

  2. This strikes me as odd: A church burns down and they think its arson.
Why is ATF in on the investigation?

Does the "F" stand for firebug now and nobody told us?

  3. Islam has been at war with all non-Muslims since its foundation.

There's a 1400-year track record. YOu might want to check that out.

    Thanks for your input.

  4. No, silly, Islam is a religion of peace.

That is why they threatened holiday attacks in America.

I do understand your point, Anon, but make no mistake:

Identifying Islam -or at the very least those apply its tenets most faithfully- as the mortal enemy of every American is not supporting anyone's "Big Lie", it is situational awareness.

Notice there was no request for non-Islamic terrorism to be ignores. The intent, I believe, was to place emphasis where it belongs. Report the Joe Stacks if you wish. The Joe Stacks are exponentially less threatening to American citizens as are jihadists.

And besides, the intent is to get out stories that the American media neglects, if I am correct.

The American media LOVES to report on the Joe Stack-pissed of American stories.

  5. Count of airplane crash into buildings events by American tax protestors: one,

An attack upon a gov't facility does not meet the criteria of terrorism.

  6. "No, silly, Islam is a religion of peace. / That is why they threatened holiday attacks in America."

After a decade of not blowing anything up, they no longer have the credibility to threaten.

"Notice there was no request for non-Islamic terrorism to be ignore[d]."

When the corrupt US legislature asked the corrupt US intelligence agencies it funds about threat of terrorism from the Middle East, they didn't put "don't bring good news to our attention which contradicts our foreign policy story" in writing, either. Ask http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Kwiatkowski how this mutual hand-washing works.

wikipedia: "Kwiatkowski is primarily known for her insider essays which denounce a corrupting political influence on the course of military intelligence leading up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003."

Could you please try not to repeat those mistakes?

  7. "An attack upon a gov't facility does not meet the criteria of terrorism."

The 9/11 jihadi hijackers who crash-landed their plane into the Pentagon building were not conducting a terrorist operation?

The Chechen attack on the schoolchildren at Beslan is likewise excluded from consideration? Really??
