Kerodin has a good entry on this. They will win...Let em.
I used to go to those clocks every day. It would get me really mad.
Anger is such a useful tool, properly harnessed. It can forge the will, or vice versa. I don't allow my anger over what is happening to overflow anymore.
Instead, I go for one more rep on the bench than last time. I sprint a little bit further at the end of my runs. I save just a little bit more money to buy ammo to PRACTICE (-not stockpile-) with my weapon. I buy a bag of rice instead of a value meal at the fast food joint. I put the computer down and teach my kids about the Bonus Army March, or the meaning of liberty, or how to grow plants using our own land and our chickens' waste.
I REFUSE to be a fat, out of shape, defenseless, complicit fool who lives only for today and believes FedGov will, in the end, make it all ok. I am living as well as I can, while preparing for the worst.
I MUST use my anger over things like this for something productive, or I will implode.
War, the standard exit.

It's becoming my watchword:
