Do you know what to do?

  1. Seems like the FAST trailers would just become targets themselves. I mean, if I'm a terrorist, why bother trying to detonate a bomb inside "the expo" when I can just detonate a bomb inside the FAST trailer itself and take out a bunch of highly trained interrogators, uh, I mean, screeners as well all that high tech equipment in those things?

Attacking the security checkpoint itself would seem to make sense to a terrorist these days because 1) the outer side of it is, by definition, permissive and not secure making it an easy target 2) the checkpoints have a high concentration of equipment and personnel 3) attacking the checkpoint itself would force a major expansion of the security perimeter and the expenditure of much more resources in doing so 4) forcing a further expansion of the security perimeter would piss off the population

  2. TSA takes the bus: Greyhound station in Tampa. Border patrol is there too. Metal detector, sniffer dog. One agency wonk mentions interdicting "cash smuggling."
One passenger says he likes it, feels safer. He's probably the biggest guy ON the bus. How would people be safe FROM HIM?

  3. Has anyone seen a related post on Radley Balko's blog, theagitator.com?

TSA is being used on the interstate highways (please remember the reason for the Interstate Highway system: for the movement of military vehicles in time of national emergency. Thanks Ike)to further fight the war on terror....but we knew that was coming, along with heightened security measures at bus terminals, and railroad depots.

In response to the questions posed, "I have something to tell you. It's something my Father said. It's none of your god damn business!"

Final comment, has anyone noticed Billy Beck's site (two-four)has been down for several days now?

  4. And how much further will the noose tighten before someone does something really eye opening. As Codrea said on his page, a terrorist with a coke bottle and some gas would raise hell on some checkpoints and trailers.
