Rather Touchy, Eh?

Insty explains.

Anyone surprised?

For bonus points, see if you can draw the correct operational lessons from the coverage's following quote:

***
"He got a lot of calls out of his place of business that he said he was fine with. When things got out of hand and people started calling his wife, that's when he decided to go ahead and take it down," says Blake Brueggeman, owner of Integrity Auto Repair. Brueggeman leases property from the billboard owner...

  1. Only 4 words will suffice:

    Truth hurts don't it?

  2. The guy paying for the billboard was threatened, his wife was threatened, the artist of the cartoon was threatened, and probably the owner of the physical billboard itself.

    It's time, folks.

Have you located your local Communist Workers Party HQ yet?

Have you identified "those professors" on your local university campus yet? Where do you think Herbert Marcuse, Francis Pivens, Bill Ayers, and the like hung their hats?

  3. If the billboard buyer didn't want harassed, he should have done some or all of the following:

    - Purchased the billboard through an out-of-state LLC.

    - That LLC should not have his name associated with it if possible, or at least not be traceable easily to the place he lives.

    - His phone number should not be in his name.

    - His wife should be armed.

  4. You are right when you left this comment on my little blog during Iowa's Obama/Hitler/Lenin billboard "controversy": "A bad thing....once bullies have measured you (including the Repubs who shout and then apologize) and found you to be weak, they'll take everything from you, including your ribcage."

Fear is their weapon and the bully tactics will become more brazen now that they know people back down. They hope it will silence the rest of us.

As was mentioned before, be prepared to either cover your tracks or defend yourself.

Good advice for those who still believe in free speech.

  5. The billboard would have been better if it had Obama, Bush I and II,Gengrich, Soros, Pelosi, Reid, and Rove at the table - and with the same rats and vultures. Remove "Vote DemoRAT", and just have "join the game". And have Bush II's hand high up on Obama's thigh. With Pelosi licking Bush I's ear.

  6. The proper response to this cowardly bullying is simple...our side needs to fund and put up about 25,000 "offending" or "inflamatory" billboards all across the nation. Let them try to intimidate all of us. If they think they can win by silencing our voice, we need to teach them otherwise.

  7. Gosh, which religious group is it that has a tantrum and threatens terrorism against whoever mocks their messiah?

    Oh yeah - Democrats.

  9. "TEHERAN, Iran — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and his Iranian counterpart [Ahmadinejad]declared Wednesday they are united in efforts to establish a "new world order" and warned their enemies would be relegated to the "graveyard." " -- AP

When Chavez visited Obama in Washington, Barry Zero shook his hand and gave him a copy of his book "The Audacity of Hope." Or was it "The Mendacity of a Dope"?
