Quote Of The Week

They [the Bad People] understand that normal folks are afraid to break the law, let alone break shit and kill people. Until normal folks get over that fear, the bad guys have free rein. It's that simple.

  1. Not fear of what will happen if I do XYZ. Fear of what I will do. Once I start, there's no stopping. What the bad guys should be worried about is that I'm out there, waiting. I have a very long memory, and a very long list.

  2. Keep in mind that agents of the state routinely break the law and "break shit and kill people" and get away with it.

  3. Makes me think of the Kenny Rogers song "Coward of the County." The thugs and bullies finally push him too far and then "he wasn't holdin' nothin' back, he let them have it all," and is the last man standing.
Even a mouse will, when cornered, growl and leap to the attack, and those tiny teeth can seriously f-- you up. The "conflict" people complain about in other countries? Happens for a reason. Those "guerillas" have a life too. Families, jobs, homes. Just like our patriots of 1776, they decide enough is enough.
Henry Bowman says the first one is expensive, but after that the rest are free.

  4. The electronic highway sign said "Serious accident. Right lane closed ahead."
Accident, right. A smashed truck in a gully in the median -- with about eight police cars around it. Off to the side, a state police SWAT team and a dog handler in woodland camo preparing to go into the woods.
Found out later that some guys had robbed a Denny's restaurant and then fled down the interstate, a popular tactic around here.
I bet knowing that that town is the county seat AND has a state police substation wouldn't have stopped them. Some people just don't care.
I don't know if they were caught. THEY just wanted a few hundred bucks, and look what they were willing to do.
