"It's time to turn the tables and remind the world that government employees just happen to be people -- people that don't suck,"
I've been there, done that and it's just like in fishing, instead of 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish, it's 10% of federal employees do 90% of the work, so to start with, I would cut it by 50%. Who wants to stay and who wants to go under these conditions? Very simple. Then we cut it further from there and no, you don't get welfare if you go, you support yourself, period.
"Government spending is what has made America as strong as it is. We value our federal employees." -- Rep. James Moran of Virginia. Especially BATFEces and the IRS. I'd say he's guaranteed the votes of all federal workers in his Norhern Virignia district, at least. It's all they have there.
I just heard a jate-momgering radio commercial, or part of it.
Voice of young black woman: "The Tea Party wants their country back. They can't have it. They got us into an illegal war in Iraq. They ran up the federal deficit --" and I changed stations. Two things. They affirm that it's not OUR country -- the great American WE no longer -- it's THEIRS now. And they mistake all white conservatives and constitutionalists for neocon elitist globalist robber barons. Intentionally or not. Useful idiots indeed.
One wonk says truckers don't seem to object since it's aimed at truck manufacturers, not drivers. Bull. They understand passing on the cost of regulations. Every time the price of oil goes up, so does the cost to them of fuel and tires.

Which 50% would you cut?
ReplyDeleteOr would it be better to eliminate unConstitutional agencies such as the BATFAE, FBI, DEA, FISA courts, Tax courts, and the like?
Let's not forget that globally, the US government spends 47% of military expenditures, that's adding together all countries on the planet.
That could be cut 90%.
Not to worry, it will be cut in the near future, all of it will.

ReplyDeleteThe major cuts will become evident when the entity known as the United States ceases to exist.
