  2. GardenSERF,

It's already being done. 2 shows that are examples come to mind: An ABC special about 'gun control' hosted by Peter Jennings back in the late 80s/early-mid 90s that had Madam Sarah, Larry Pratt, & (I think) James Wright (among others) as panelists. That show was the only one that compared the power of 'assault weapons' to 'regular' sporting guns & by doing so destroyed the anti-gun cult's propaganda & Jennings' shocked reaction ("Wow, there's quite a difference between them, the hunting guns & the assault weapons...the regular guns are a lot more powerful") should've been used by the pro-2A side to nail the lid shut on 'gun control' but somehow wasn't. Larry Pratt's outburst was the showstopper as it prompted Wright to eagerly agree w/ Pratt's point that the Wright-Rossi study shows that 'gun control' not only doesn't reduce violent crime but is also a waste of time/resources!

The next 'non-show' was on A&E (IIRC) & was a pretty detailed (& damning) examination of Prohibition & the mindset behind it. Ed Asner narrated, & you could hear him sneering @ the people in it & their almost fanatical loyalty to their cause as well as their open refusal to admit that they were wrong & the whole premise for their cause was BS. I stupidly didn't buy videos of both shows when I had the chance &, since their 'disappearence', haven't been able to find copies or even references to them. I didn't expect to be able to get Shadow on the Land given its origin (ABC's Movie of the Week) lineage & the date (late 60s)of airing, but to have modern shows about 2 major events in American history go so thoroughly POOF makes one a wee bit suspicious.
