From A E-P:
I try to remain optimistic that the US and China will work out a more or less amicable way to run the world for the next half century, a “Chimerica” of interwoven superpowers.
But it was slightly disturbing to hear the warnings of a distinguished China-watcher at a closed-door session of the annual Ambrosetti conference on Lake Como.
(This gathering of the global policy elites at Villa D’Este is a hardship assignment for Telegraph hacks. It fell to me again this year, but somebody has to do it.)
“China’s military spending is growing so fast that it has overtaken strategy,” said Professor Huang Jing from the Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. (He kindly let me quote his remarks.)
“The young officers are taking control of strategy and it is like young officers in Japan in the 1930s. They are thinking what they can do, not what they should do. This is very dangerous.
“They are on a collision course with a US-dominated system”...

"Ready for what's coming?"
ReplyDeleteBeing at the top means that everyone is lining up to kick our ass.
Islam.
China.
Mexican Drug Gangs.
Marxists.
It's looking like 410.
Chinese-made computer chips?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Silicon Valley went bust.
The ChiComs won't need an EMP burst; I'm sure there's a back door built into every chip. A few lines of code ought to do it.
There goes big business again, selling our future for a few dollars more.
Are they preparing to pick up the pieces, or to instigate something?
ReplyDeleteThey hold, I around 850 Billion in US debt I think, how will they collect when these bonds mature. Keep your eyes on this.

China will be buying land in America with the complete acquiescence of the US federal government:

Please spread the word on this. When the transnationalists in the US see NO AWARENESS on issues like this, it gives them a clear green light to continue moving forward.
People who continue to act like serfs are going to be treated like serfs and have no one but themselves to blame.
No, but I have made certain preparations, not the least of which is to be flexible, and adjust to changing situations.
ReplyDelete"On balance, I remain hopeful that a country with a one-child policy,... will show an enormous reluctance to support military adventurism."
ReplyDeleteChina's "one-child" policy has created 24 million sexually frustrated surplus males. This is a sure-fire formula for social unrest.
Why would a regime that does not flinch from forced abortions hesitate to reduce their male population through military attrition?

Dennis308,
ReplyDeleteThe Chinese will be buying US land and filling empty shipping containers now stacked up on the West Coast with grain in the future.
Damn right, GARDEN SURF, if we do not take a strong stand at the local level and in smaller stats (NH, WY, MT, VT) against ANY contracts with Chinese compaines, then we will be owned just like Madagascar and Australia.
ReplyDeleteStop funding PRC products as much as possible, buying used when requied if that is the only way for MIUSA.
The PRC PLA uses a special 5.8mm round that is unknown outside the Middle Kingdom, they had this takeover planned since the 1980s.
Further reasons why we need to get the PRC and Muslims divided and fighting yesterday, and not tommorow.

ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time, the Northern states imposed sanctions and a no-sail zone against the Southern states who wanted to sell cotton to Europe. The Union was 'policing' the world, committing acts of war like blockading harbors and cutting off foreign trade to ruin the South's self-sufficiency. It is what pirates do.
Further reasons why we need to get the constitutional conservatives and other communist central planners divided and fighting yesterday, and not tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteYou realize that the Civil War was kicked off because the South thought it would get support from Britain and France, who wanted a DIVIDED America. And that cotton was grown by SLAVES, similar to the workers in many PRC factories.
Free Trade is the death of Empires, and if we do not start making things here, then we will be a foreign vassal state.
The Union blockade of the South was in the middle of a war, so of course it was an act of war.
The PRC is not your friend, no matter how many Type 56s they offer you for your secessionist movement should you take over a state.
If you fund the PRC, then you are funding our downfall. Same as every time you fill up with gasoline, you are responsible for the causes of our wars and funding the terrorists.
