RTC updates us on another "Without Rule Of Law" situation, this time involving videotaping of police in North Carolina.
Read it, and note the Facebook entry for the judicial perpetrator above.
UPDATE 28 AUG 2010 2240 EDT: Insty links to this Examiner article on the situation.
I'm contacting some folks I know up that way to see if they can rectify the problem.
ReplyDeleteThe judge has some supporters. That's sad. Maybe the day will come for one or two of them when they'll WISH someone had been able to record THEIR "interaction" with one of Salisbury's finest.
ReplyDeleteRecord from concealment, then MAKE THEM FAMOUS on YouTube. We don't need freedom-lovers paying fines and going to jail.
I see her FB wall isn't accepting any comments...I guess it got too hot in the kitchen for the girl, eh?
ReplyDeleteI left this comment on her page. I will post it here so if a bench warrant from NC gets posted I will have a copy of what was really said.
ReplyDelete“Because Gibson did not at first comply when the officer told
her and others to go inside, the judge found Gibson guilty of resisting,
delaying or obstructing an officer.
Gibson was not the only bystander watching the action on the
street. She was the only one holding up a cell-phone video camera. But
...court testimony never indicated that Hunter told her to stop the camera;
he just told her to go inside.”
If video can be used against you in a court of law, law enforcement officers MUST be held accountable by video also. To deny this is a breach of public trust, and implies that the officer is acting in an extra legal manner is and is attempting to cover up his misconduct. Allowing the officer to do this is a violation of your oath of office. Citizens in your district deserve better. I am glad I do not live there. Right thinking people who do need to correct this massive mistake by electing someone who is able to make sound legal pronouncements.
No surprise here. The country is full of cop-sucking judges.
ReplyDeleteblack robed criminals protected by thugs in state issued costumes who in turn protect their unlawful actions...and the beat goes on.
ReplyDeleteThings won't change in America until more people have felt the brutal boot of despotism stomping on their faces.

I got a kick out of the Facebook page showing her swearing her oath of office.
ReplyDeleteShe's smiling because she was just told that she gets to pull the train in the cop-shop tonight...
ReplyDelete(Maybe someone with a cell-cam will get the video and post it.)
