Monopoly Can Be A Deadly Game

In his current GUNS Rights Watch column, David Codrea takes on this post by gungrabber Josh Horwitz.

Do you think Josh understands that every day, more and more Americans join the millions who have learned the lessons of the FedGov over the past decade and no longer give a rat's ass about what The Supremes or any other group of lawyers says?

These free men and women, who embrace the Elites' autodelegitimization, are simply making other plans.

Josh, please go get Peggy, pour a stiff drink for you both, listen to Zimmy's tune, and try to sing along:

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

  1. Monopolies, and not just on deadly force.
Wisconsin passes own DISCLOSE law. From Noisyroom.net: "Under this new law, individuals and groups must pay a $100 registration fee to the state of WI if they want permission to use political speech that totals at least $25 “cumulatively in a calendar year.” But it doesn’t stop there… "

  2. I don't believe in coincidence. That's why I mention this paranormal show about a haunted New Mexico state prison, now closed. It was badly run, with sadistic guards, lots of contraband getting in, and snitches snitching on the smugglers in exchange for privileges. After a Thanksgiving dinner of green turkey which gave some food poisoning, some prisoners got drunk on homemade alcohol (told you they were lax) and rioted. They burned snitches alive, cut off hands, raped and tortured guards. It was a hell.
Prison didn't MAKE them that way, and the anti-gunners want us naked and afraid of these same kinds of people when they walk free.
And of their counterparts who we know there are in positions of power.
    Simply, no.
