It's like the Plague. Notice the spot that remains bright yellow (moderate unemployment rate) that is Washington D.C.... I heard this week that my job, eliminated in mid-2009, is being reinstated -- as part-time, no benefits. I imagine there'll be 100 applicants. It's THAT BAD. I just pray that people won't vote Republican in hopes of turning it around. Obama didn't do this in 19 months. Big Business helped a lot, and it started under a Bush, if not a Carter.
"WASHINGTON (AP)- A six-month ban on deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico would directly put more than 9,000 people out of work and indirectly affect another 14,000 jobs, according to a memo from the nation's top drilling regulator."
One moratorium was canceled, but Obama came up with a new one two weeks later.
Out of HUNDREDS of wells, one -- admittedly major -- but just ONE accident shuts them all down? In THIS economy? When one percent of guns being used in crime is enough excuse excuse, not REASON -- to want to ban them all, see what follows. Now is the time to drill bigtime in Alaska. Leaks NOT 5,000 under the ocean could be contained and repaired easily.
Now the Obamanoids are trying to tell us this is the new norm. I guess they think this will CYA. I also believe they are cooking the books and the true unemployment rate is closer to 17% Paul in Texas

Hey, I bet if we show them this and write some more letters, maybe say pretty please, they'll listen. I mean, they understand the language of common sense and reason, right? They respect us, right?

They have a song called Unnatural Selection that has a verse that says:
I am hungry for some unrest, I want to push this beyond a peaceful protest, I wanna speak in a language that they'll understand
These words are stuck in my brain these days.
