I think the pain index is high enough for people to actually make changes. It may be that the Left is intentionally pushing us that way. You know that THEY know that the recent avalanche of their little expressions of contempt for our way of life will be posted a thousand thousand places on the Internet. Acres of people showed up in Searchlight, Nevada, Reid's home town, to say that this summer is the winter of their discontent.
