Filthy MSM Parasites

Read this WSJ op-ed guest piece on anything other than an empty stomach and you'll regret it.

Punch line?

We of the lying, incompetent, mainly evil mainstream media DO in fact have the chutzpah to demand our own nipple from the public udder, even if that burden must be added to your children's and grandchildren's already-crushing load as debt serfs.

Die soon, propagandist scum.

Soon.

  1. President of Columbia, that says it all. We don't need newspaper or TV reporting especially from the government stooges. Our internet will suffice just fine, thank you. And, keep you're thief's hands off of it too.

  2. I guess I would be surprised that WSJ would print such drivel. But after the RTC rally, nothing that any nominally "conservative" media outlet says, covers, or fails to cover would surprise me.

  3. Of course, given that the author is president of Columbia University (containing the notorious School of "Journalism"), could we expect to read anything other than collectivist propaganda?

  4. I just read the first few sentences...

We of the corporate media, who have grown tired of helping the citizenry, have sold our souls for power by associating with an entity that'll probably sell us down the river anyway.

  5. This article is offensive on many levels. So, we ignore the intent and the letter of the Constitution and allow what was intended to be the Watchdog to get its food from the Criminals? Every time I think we may get out of this without a cleansing, some dumb leftist #@$% writes some crap like this. Why are they not considered seditious when they suggest abrogating the Bill of Rights?

  6. Clearly the FBI missed one of the Russian/communist spies.

    What bunk.

  7. They're just whores.

"Look -- I gave you what you wanted, now leave the money on the night-stand."

Michael Yon has the best model I've seen for modern journalism -- you like what I write? Pay me!

The sick reality is that our .gov WILL "subsidize" these fools. VoA is banned from broadcasting its propaganda inside the US - and TPTB need someone to handle it, so they can't let the "MSM" die.

Once again, we will be forced to pay for The Enemy's supplies, and at the point of their gun -- for which we were also forced to pay.

Do you think the 'net will be allowed to continue spreading any "truth" not blessed by TPTB? What do you think all this recent legislation - actual and rumored - is about?

Mark my words: They'll pay the "msm" to act as their propaganda wing and come down hard on anyone not spreading the "official message" online.

    Wait and see...

  8. Notice the passive, weak statement in the article: "At the same time, however, the financial viability of the U.S. press has been shaken to its core."

Shaken? By whom? Care to report on that one WSJ? Care to enlighten us about the true nature of that foreign private bankerster cartel known as the Federal Reserve? Care to educate your readers on the history of the Glass-Steagall Act and the effects of its repeal? Care to report on the Silver Manipulations by JPMorganChase? (Ref: www.gata.org/node/8466)

We know what is going on: The United States has been, and continues to be, looted by foreign banksters with the complicity of many "elected" (i.e. purchased) government officials and mainstream media maggots.

These things did not "just happen". Evil men are responsible. Evil men who will someday either answer to God or to His Hand of Righteous Vengence: The United States Marine Corps.

    THIS COUNTRY WILL NOT FAIL.

  9. "Trusting the market alone to provide all the news coverage we need would mean venturing into the unknown—a risky proposition with a vital public institution hanging in the balance."

Translation: we can't trust the public to know what they need to know without knowing the unknown, which we know is risky but known to be necessary to the public's need to know so the poor dumb bastards will just have to take our word for it on this because we know they just don't know any better.

Evidently, this journalist has Vizzini for his dialectics professor. ;^)

  10. Big Media has failed to observe many things, including that the Internet makes their lies and strategic withholding obvious. I lost my job at a newspaper in part because I tried to convince the left-of-center management that in our region 70% of the people are Christian conservatives, middle-aged and older, suburban and rural. They insisted on pandering to the young urban majority population and the trendy white Generation Y youth market -- people who DON'T READ NEWSPAPERS -- and subscriptions went away. Nonsubscribers don't see the ads businesses place, and businesses fail, reducing ad revenue. The paper doen't even release its circulation stats anymore.
They decided to hold onto their philosophy until the stock dropped from $50 to TWO DOLLARS. Then they laid off 200 scapegoats.
It's only in the movies that independent thinking and courageous out-of-the-box advocacy get you promoted.
Their coverage hasn't changed, and that's why I'm here instead of on their website.
No surprise that socialist-enablers want their industry Socialized.
