Baugh: New York Who?

Go and read Tom's latest.

Even as a former New Yorker who was downtown for the '93 WTC bombing and who lost blood on 9/11, I can't disagree.

Neither New York nor Washington, DC is owed anything by the rest of America.

They are both dystopic places of virulently malignant statism and deliberate, routine human rights violations.

A resounding "fuhgeddaboudit" is the only proper response to any directive coming from either cesspool.

  1. You cannot deny that for quite a few of us in flyover country there is a huge disconnect with New Yawk, the District of Criminals, and other metropolitan septic tanks. I really cannot get concerned or lose sleep over some Haji blowing Manhattan or D.C. to kingdom come. What can I say to a bunch of idiots who would put collectivists like Schumer and Hillary in office? The United States government is a bigger threat to my hard-earned money and liberty than any Mohammedan terrorist.

  2. Tom Baugh is a devastating analyst. I resisted his bleak view for quite awhile, but that piece sealed the deal.

In a curious way, though, his view contains the seeds of optimism for a better future, if only through acceptance of reality. f you can't phrase the questions correctly, the solutions are forever out of reach.
